My youngest is a Gashead - born and bred in Bristol, he came to see us v Bristol Shitty and was ecstatic when Rubin stuck one in at the end. Absolutely made his week that did.

Easily a championship sized club , with the correct infrastructure, and success on the field.

Any club that takes 40,000 to Wembley demonstrates the ability to compete with the likes of us, Plymouth, Stoke etc

Bristol Rovers are a typical third tier club and have been for much of their existence. Likewise we're a typical second tier club.

Because Bristol is a big city, they will always have the potential to pull in big crowds for a special one-off game at Wembley but as for being a genuine Championship club, I don't see it, especially with their neighbours to compete with.

I think with a new stadium and a capacity of ~20,000 situated in the correct location would see average crowds close to capacity, although they would need to be in the Championship.

Let’s not forget a big amount of their supporters are from S Gloucestershire. It’s a big area.
