Ex-Man Utd academy kid brands Bluebird 'top player'
Manchester United academy product Demetri Mitchell has named Josh Bowler as one of the best he has played with.
Mitchell rose through the ranks at Old Trafford, heading out on loan to Hearts in the process, before signing for Blackpool in 2020. He went on to play for Hibernian before signing for Exeter City this year.
On X, the left-back spoke about players he had played alongside away from United and believes that Bowler was the best he saw in the two years he was at Bloomfield Road.
Writing on social media, Mitchell said: "One player I thought was top at every club I've been at after United. Blackpool: Josh Bowler. Hearts: Kyle Lafferty. Hibernian: Elie Youan. Exeter: Jay Stansfield."
Bowler, who is on loan from Nottingham Forest, has been in good form for Cardiff this season, scoring twice, once each side of a frustrating injury, and looks a nailed-on starter on that right-hand side.
