Aaron Ramsey's boy, Sonny, is officially part of the Bluebirds' academy.
Sonny signed a pre-contract, so to speak, with Cardiff's academy in the summer, the same day his old man joined the club. The contract would become valid when Sonny turned eight and today is that day.
Posting on Instagram, Bluebirds playmaker Ramsey made a birthday post for Sonny along with a photo of them together. The Wales captain spoke in the summer about how special it was to return to his boyhood club and have his son sign on the same day.
"That was unbelievable," he said in July. "What an unforgettable day for both of us. To see him sign his first contract was really special. It brought back a lot of memories from when I started that way.
"It's just great to see. Obviously, me coming through that academy and progressing the way I I did. To see my boy take that first step, a very proud moment."
And now it's official, Sonny is a bona fide member of the Bluebirds academy.
