How did he play today ?
Seen the goal and took it well. Seemed to be fairly unmarked but great composure in the dying seconds and finished it well.

Did absolutely nothing apart from win the game with a fantastic header!

Did absolutely nothing apart from score the goal, bit like Kaba all round game is useless but has that knack of being in the right place at right time

A strange player....Ice cold and good technique for the goal, but offers so little in open play

Same could be said of a certain Gary Lineker I suppose mate.

That's exactly the player he is. I'm not sure he will fit in totally with us though.

Lineker had that pace off the mark that got him ahead of the defender, Vardy is the closest in the modern game.
The problem for these types of lads is so rarely do teams play with two up top. Did Lineker ever have to play a lone striker?

Would Earnie have ever got out of the academy nowadays ?

I initially laughed at that last line, then thought about it. Earnie relied on the knockdown from a big man. That is an excellent point!!

Ugbo will score loads if he gets the service in the box we havnt really got much service to him.

He’s frustrating.

Brilliant at his finishing and often pops up in the right place, but he does nothing else.

A good player to bring on when we need a goal though.

Ugbo is a lot stronger than those 2. What he lacks in pace his strength will make up for it in the box. As mentioned above he needs the service.

Gary Lineker -
When he first signed for Everton he was shit for 6 games or so . Went to watch them away at Shrewsbury in the FA Cup as I was working away at the time. Sat with the scousers who were slagging him off. He scored a couple that night and maybe a hat trick (memory fades) and never looked back.
