Tue Nov 28, 2023 9:49 pm

Although only a wonder goal won it we did nothing upfront robinson poor tonight colwill looked the best on the night even though a 2nd half sub looked like he wanted it
but there keeper had nothing to do
bowler and tanner did nothing to get behind

We really need new recruits sonner rather than later
lets hope they pick up new players 1st week of window rarher than the last day of jan

thought Robinson was our best player, he chased down every ball, and was the only one pressing and closing down the opposition, he worked his boll***S off. Bowler played far to narrow, and at one point in the game, he was standing in the middle of the pitch, the ball went to our full back and there was no one ahead of him to get the ball and he was just far to narrow.

I think you have muddled up Siopis and Robinson
As they say, ‘its all about opinions but Robinaon is the one that doesnt close down effectively, hardly puts in a challenge and never tackles. As the commentator said v Preston “CR easily brushed off the ball”

As you say it is all about opinions - I thought Siopis was very average last night. Goutas however was impressive.

I think you’re being harsh on Bowler. He was our best attacking player.

Besides, he’s not the sort of players who runs behind the defence - instead he runs at defenders. We saw that in the first half when he had a great bit of play and nearly scored a wonder goal.

Robinson was poor again, Colwill deserves a chance from the start before Ramsey is back.

Does make me laugh that some have criticised Grant all season but last night showed how much we missed him.

If you watched the game closely and without favour, you might have seen Callum Robinson put in a lot of defensive running and some timely tackles to come away with the ball when in danger...

But hey ho, if the cap fits once, eh...?

I think that I watched CR pretty cloely and I would like to think that I am reasonably fair minded….. but I have hardly seen Robinson put in a tackle, (let alone a timely one), in all his Cardiff career! I have seen him pull out of plenty of 50/50’s mind.
I thought he had a poor game again last night. I did say at 1/2 time that if he proves me wrong and has a great second half then I will be pleased and I’ll eat my words…..but he didnt! One of these games he will score a couple of goals, (law of averages), but for me, it will hide his very limited overall contribution. But maybe my opinion is wrong….God knows Ive been wrong about plenty of things in my life, of that I am certain !! :bluebird:

CR has anti-collision software installed.

He runs 100mph towards the opponent generally theatrically waving his hands to his teammates (and the crowd) but the closer he gets the brakes automatically kick in and he never quite gets there!

TBF, its not his game though as he isn't an attacking midfeilder, he is a utilty forward, just don't see where he fits
