Disappointing result tonight.
It wasn’t a great game. West Brom weren’t even at their best but deserved to win, it was the right result.
What showed is our lack of squad depth.
Collins and Grant were both huge misses and it’ll be a relief to have them back on Saturday.
There’s no doubt that our first team can be a match for anybody, especially at home, but we struggle if certain key players are missing. These are the likes of Collins, Grant, Siopis, Ng and Goutas.
So it just proves again that we need to add more players to the squad in January.
On another note, I thought both Panzo and Colwill did well when they came on.
Goutas was good defensively and Bowler was our best attacking player.

But let’s hope we don’t see too much of Panzo at LB though, definitely got caught by pace a couple of times.

I thought he did alright. Certain did better than Romeo at RB and Ng was more or less invisible at LB.

Completely agree with a lack of quality. We matched them for most of the game but couldn't control it or change after the goal. That's the margins to be top six. We just have to hang in that top ten for now. Thought McGuinness was class tonight. Has to be bids for him at some point.

We have over achieved so far this season which is a credit to the manager, but we were exposed today with the lack of depth. Too many players with potential learning their trade
Erol has got to make a decision about Colwell, to me he offers more than Robinson, but there is a downside, but I am not sure what Robinson gives us in this formation
Tanner needs games in L1, he is never a starter in the championship at the moment

I think it's a consequence of having to rely on loan players and free transfers.
We have a decent first team but depth is definitely a problem.
Hopefully it can be addressed in January.

We need a sort out in Jan

Just wait for January, fingers crossed we bring a few additions.

In fairness to Panzo he was left on his own a few times on the left after Tanner went off as Bowler was moving over to the right to find the ball…
One thing we can’t do is start Ng at LB and Romeo at RB, it’s no good, Ng needs to stay on the right as that’s where we lose shape and ultimately where the goal came from. What’s the point of having a naturally left footed LB and sit him on the bench?
Some big decisions need to be made, if Bulut isn’t wanting to use the loan players then send them back and get players in he can/will use.
We need CO’D and Rambo back, we’ve got 6 big games in December and Bulut wants to keep them back until January, if they’re both fit and running then use them, 30 minutes from either of them is a massive lift especially Rambo.
We’re all good in most areas for cover, we do need another LB, CB and a striker though

Given the current squad, if we are in the top half of the table come January then that's a win and a massive improvement. Strengthen in January and apply pressure on the playoffs contenders. Either way a table top half finish this season is an improvement on the previous year's dire performances. We need a solid foundation for next season for a realistic promotion push, providing Tan keeps funds available.

Good points and the only things I’d add are that I think we’re thinking it easier and possibly more effective to play away at the moment where the onus is on the home side. I certainly think that wba were a good side but I also think that with Ramsey playing, he may well have been able to ‘pick the lock’ so to speak.

I think we should enjoy the progress we have made by this manager using free and loan transfers in addition to players brought in by his predecessors. Hopefully, now the embargo is lifted, he can add some quality in the next 2 transfer windows to challenge seriously for promotion to the premiership again.
