Erol Bulut:
“For me their goal was just a lucky strike.”
"West Brom is one of the best organised team against the ball," he added. "We tried hard, but they had a lucky shot. In the first half it was not many chances, both sides. Without this shot it was a typical game for a draw. But sometimes you need luck and the luck was from the opponents' side today, with that shot from the right side."
Some supporters believed that goalkeeper Alex Runarsson might have done better with the shot. However, Bulut checked with his goalkeeper coach, Mario Galinović, who said the Iceland international had no chance to save it.
"No," Bulut said when asked if the goalkeeper could have done more. "We watched it and I spoke with the goalkeeper shot and he said he couldn't catch the ball. I have to see it, but if the goalkeeper coach says this, it's a really good shot. We don't have to allow that shot. We should be more aggressive and we should push the opponent to the line."

Ned,
I am a big fan of Bulut, but lately he’s starting to look for excuses when things go wrong and this was sour grapes.

Our defenders look nervous when he's in goal, he needs to get the experience.

Fabulous strike, but he’s right.
The kid could never do that again, try 100 times.

Thought it was a bit of both a fabulous strike and poor positioning by the goalkeeper, also thought he was lucky with the free kick they had on the "D" he had all the defenders to the right of the post and then positioned himself behind them leaving the left hand side open, thankfully the ball was kicked low into the wall.

Correct.
9 out of 10 times that flies into the stand.

It's the same old, same old, even for us supporters...
Any goal scored by our team is '
class' and individual brilliance, whilst any conceded is '
lucky' and always '
someone's' fault...!
For me, it was a class goal scored by a star of the future; but don't tell the Gooner fans that, as they roundly booed him on his Arsenal debut!

For me it’s not a debate wether or not it was a good goal, An absolute screamer. What I and other are trying to point out is that usually in that scenario the ball will be miles away from the target, it’s just unlucky that he hit a sweet one against us.
Does look a lively player though.

Same could be said about Garnacho's goal and others, too!

West Brom midfielder Jeremy Sarmiento admitted he had his dad to thank after scoring a spectacular winner for the Baggies against Cardiff City.
The Ecuador international struck early in the second half as Albion moved up to third in the Championship table.
It was his second for the club - but first since their 4-2 home victory over Middlesbrough in August.
"I heard my dad in the stands (tell me) to shoot," the 21-year-old loanee told BBC WM Sport.
"Since I was a little kid, my dad's always been on my side, trying to direct me what to do, and I literally heard him, so it was a great feeling."
The match was only his second start in 13 league appearances since joining West Brom from Premier League side Brighton in the summer.
"I'm young, learning a lot from the lads, mostly Matty Phillips, he helps me a lot as we play in the same position.
"I look at him as a big brother. He always tells me the right stuff, and the wrong stuff not to do."
