Family stand tonight

Tue Nov 28, 2023 11:20 pm

Never seen the family stand so empty tonight :o

One of the stewards told me that some had asked to move seats because of the bad language of the away supporters
I’m sure that was not the reason why there were so little seats filled tonight but it added to the flat atmosphere all around the stadium :(

Give free tickets to schools to help fill the ground. These may then become future paying fans. Come on City wake up.

I sit there with my boy and it doesn't help when you got stewards asking people to sit down in the back row.... also try my hardest to get it going in there with chanting hitting seats ect but no1 wants to no in there its shocking atm.... most are freebies or people on day trips.... no interest in games just taking pics of away fans and on thier phone all day.... I swore at the players tonight and a women turned around and said stop swearing.... ffs women your at a football game. Same as Swansea game I was winding the crowd up only wanted to no when we scored some of us are trying our hardest

Doesn’t help with the late finish for young kids unfortunately, I got home just after 11pm with my daughter. We sit in the family stand. We sit in block 125. Most of the fans we see coming in are there for one off matches, a few of the other season ticket holders around us are in there late 60’s early 70’s or have young kids.

Didn’t hear any “abuse” from the baggies fans last night towards the family stand, seen and heard worse directed that way over the last few games than last night.

Not really going to get the attendances on school nights in the family stand unless they give free tickets away to schools.

I get told off by my daughter for swearing, she tells me we’re in the wrong end for that then she lets slip

As mentioned in the “My View: a very dull game” post I shouted at Runnerson to command his area, talk to his defenders, stay in his area instead of going for balls that clearly loop over him and shouting at the defence to push out once the ball had gone up field…

As for singing, can’t blame the family stand for that last night when the canton and Ninian were also flat. Normally we get canton singing a song that filters around the ground or Ninian closest to the away fans chanting but there was not a lot from either side.

After 60 minutes the young kids that were there (around the ages of 10) were running around the foyer and up the steps and across rows to seats. Take it they were cold and bored.

No doubt they were bored, I was so bored & the game was so flat I got up & did the dishes with my ipad to the side so I could look over if something exciting happened, it didn't.

Can’t expect the family stand to be a key factor in there being a good atmosphere.

That’s down to Canton and, to a lesser extent, Ninian.

I do agree with others that free tickets should be given to schools. There’s a high chance they’ll then buy tickets in the future and put money into the club.

Sounds like you’re sat in the wrong stand.
