After quite a dire last home performance and 2 home defeats in a row, Bulut takes his Bluebirds to Southampton this Saturday.

It’s a tough run of games, but you understand where Cardiff were last season compared to now?
"This is a good test for my players and for me, to play against quality, good teams. Also financially they are in front of us, what they spend and what they have. They were also in a different position to Cardiff last season!
"We have progressed a lot from last season to today, but we will not stop. We will continue to believe in ourselves, our game and our target."

"They make a lot of rotations in midfield. Sometimes they play with a diamond, a back three, there are always movements in front and they are really good. Last year they were in the Premier League, they have quality players. They didn’t start well but are getting to where they want to be. It will be a tough game.
"Our games against these types of teams, Leeds, Leicester, West Brom, Norwich, we never give up against those teams. We could have won those games. But there was a bit of luck and perhaps a bit of quality shows the difference."

"I think so. We fear nobody. Which team should we fear? We know the qualities of the teams and their players, but everything is on the field. With hard work on the field, we don’t have to fear anybody.

"Yes. These are the details. We are shooting 10 or 15 times more than the opponents. But they have the quality and they are scoring.

"There's a lot of short passes. Quick passes. One touch, two touches. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes they try to bring the opponent really tight and to use wingers to come behind the defence. Sometimes it works. In the Championship it works, sometimes. Brighton play similarly, quick passes in the build-up with good players.

“What is the perfect squad? It’s difficult. Today it could be perfect, tomorrow not. I have in my mind what kind of players I want and what kind of squad I want. But from yesterday to today we did good things, and it’s a big step for the player and the club. When I think back, players didn’t want to sign or continue but all those issues we don’t have now. We have to put the level higher. No our level is already a level up so some players will have a problem with that and we need to go up another level.”

All my networks are in Turkey and Europe, I’ve tried to use and bring players to the board. Our recruitment team is also working on bringing players in. Finances will be a key point for us, what we can do. I hope we can spend money on those players.”

“In that position, we don’t have enough players. We took Panzo so he had a few friendly matches but he wasn’t fit enough to use him. He’s getting better but still we have a small issue with the centre-back position. One player being unavailable means I have to make a few changes.”

After being angry after West Brom, what are your reflections now?
"I watched the game. It was a good game. It was a typical draw game, both sides didn’t create so much. We had one or two chances, like with Josh Bowler, if we scored that maybe the game would be different.
"Against the ball we were good against a good West Brom team. They are a quality team. Even the defensive shape. But last game, we didn’t see a big difference in quality between West Brom and our team. I had some players not in the team, JC wasn’t in the team, so I had to change players. KG, too. If I had them, maybe the game would be different. But we don’t know that. This happens, injuries happen and I will not cry now because some players were injured and I had to change some positions. We tried to make the best on the day. They had a great shot from the winger and they scored. We had one with Bowler and didn’t score. This happens. We take the positive things and continue in a positive way.

“I didn’t speak with them recently but I spoke with them in the summer. They didn’t find anything so for sure we will have discussions with a few players. They want to play so it would be better for them to leave, either on loan or permanently.”

A good positive update from Bulut again today.
Says he hopes to have at least one of Ramsey or O’Dowda back before the new year.
Very open talking about transfers, I think a few are already as good as done.
Says again he always wants to win, which Robinson has backed him up on.
Like he says, we need to try and stay as close to the top six as possible - but a tough game this weekend.

Sawyers, Rinhomota and Adams not deemed good enough by the Gaffer .Fair play you need balls of steel to be a good manager and if he get better than those in Jan we'll have a bloody good side.

Very positive from Bulut.
He’s also happy with the 9 New players he brought in.
As to Sawyers we tried to off load him.
And as to Adams, I got slated when I did not agree he was good enough for the Championship from Forest Green.
Bulut has Collins and Grant back after Suspension and not allowed.
No other injuries other than usual 2 below.
Bulut has been very fortunate that 95% of the squad have been available for the league games.
Bulut also says he’s very happy with his 9 New players he brought in this Summer.

I very much enjoy Buluts updates.
