That first 15 minutes was awful and has ultimately cost us the game.

Good first goal by Southampton but we made it too easy for them, and we practically gifted them the second goal.

We improved after that but their goalkeeper didn’t have to make any real saves.

Disappointing but let’s remember that Southampton are now unbeaten in 11 - winning nine of them.

They have a very strong squad and are just a better team than us. They’ll almost certainly be in the top six.

On to Millwall at home, which is a game we should look to win.

Every team needs a platform and our center-forwards are nowhere near championship "9" standard

Bowler, Grant, Robinson or Rubin won't win the ball, you need to give it to them, All of them are living off scraps.

I can see us cashing in on Robinson, he needs to show he has recovered from his injury so he plays (ATM)

I’m not the Manager, I can’t give you that answer. But, what I can give you is the facts we all seen today, and the last 3 games when Rubin has come on.

Rubin done more to try and make something happen than Robbo. That’s just a fact.

Back to back reality checks. This division is ruthless.

Lucky enough to sit in the press box today, and had a great view of both benches. Martin is a pain in the arse, jumping up and down, animated and arguing with our players throughput especially when Tanner won a tackle fair and square. Martin was abusive but Tanner gave it right back. That was the only real passion today. Saints are a strong side and were able to bring on decent subs including Fraser and Aribo, quality in depth. I was surprised how little our players warmed up, especially on a bitterly cold afternoon. No real passion from Bulut or our back room, who looked like they had thrown in the towel after 10 mins, to focus on a winnable game vs the team we never beat, Millwall. We move on but this season is about rebuilding the club and identity. Today just showcased what our team needs to be like to truly challenge. Roll on January and the opportunity for a freshen up. Ps nice to see Nathan Blake pre match on the press lounge.

The current squad has mid table mediocrity running right through it.

Still better than the last two seasons though!
