Ramsey and O'Dowda return deadlines:

Erol Bulut is expecting Callum O'Dowda back in the middle of January but thinks Aaron Ramsey's return could return in February 2024

Both have so far played just 6 games out of 24 League and Cup games.

I Dowda was always about January but Ramsey’s keeps getting delayed further and further

I have a horrible feeling we won’t see him again this season

I think the club have been economical with the truth here. They were expected back before this. What a drain on finances. Need to buy straight away in January as our midfield is looking so tired. And we will lose Collins

Can't say I'm surprised about Ramsey.

I had this strong feeling that his regular injuries would continue on his return to Cardiff.
It's unfortunate for both him and the fans who have patiently awaited his return.

Hopefully he will return to the team before the season is out; but, just like Robbie Fowler' when he signed for us, the injuries signal the first step to pending retirement from football of a player who could previously perform at the highest level and us fans expecting miracles from them that never materialise!

I think this means there’ll be a tidy number 10 coming in January

I know it’s being negative but I can’t see Ramsey lasting long , will be lucky to get 8 games out of him next 2 seasons , I’m gutted for him

The difference here is that unlike Fowler, Rambo won't abandon us, as some are seemingly nowabandoning him...

It's a bit of a 'sport' on here with some posters constantly looking for the negative in players and manager; and it's already started despite the surprisingly lofty and competitive position we find ourselves in currently...

Personally, I didn't expect Rambo to play every game and whilst it is disappointing he has been out so long, I'd still rather have him at the club willing and (even fleetingly) able to do the job we know he can do...

It hasn't gone unnoticed the manager is starting to get a bit of regular 'stick' from some who are amongst those who stated what a good job he had done to date with limited resources...

When I look back to last season, I am just grateful to be in this division and (currently) out of danger... :ayatollah:

And he's at every game supporting the lads. Like I hope Ramsey is involved for many years to come, even after he hangs up his boots. He's a success story of our academy and think he would be class to have around for those coming through. Weather he has any want to do his coaching badges I'm not sure, but weather he's playing or injured I'll always want him around tbf

Yes indeed, Rambo is a class act on and off the field...

A good friend and colleague of mine has his young lad training with the Academy and he is being so enouraged by Rambo in person...

He's also wanted by the 'Jacks' but I'm sure he'll make the right decision and having his footballing hero taking a genuine interest in him will surely play a huge part... :ayatollah:

Aww that's amazing, 100% totally agree, fingers crossed there are many stories like that, with all the young lads coming through.

We’re heading towards the sort of timescale with Ramsey’s return when he may as well have had the operation
I remember fans saying that we did not miss them when we were doing well, now suddenly the opposite

We’re safe this year which is my starter.Be nice to get a run in at end of season with everyone fit just to put a market down for next year

Gutted for Ramsey
It seems he will only play a handful more games for us, if any

Re: Ramsey and O'Dowda return deadlines:

I'd say we're absolutely NOT safe (from relegation) this season. Long way to go - our form is crap. We require 20 more points minimum before I can relax.

Re: Ramsey and O'Dowda return deadlines:

But I thought Erol Bulut said they were running well and every couple weeks saying how well they were doing.

Erol Bulut:

"I hope and I think next week, Callum will start slowly training with us, from what I know from the medical department. So, when he can start (playing), I think the middle of January. He needs a few weeks to train with us to get to the level, physically, and his conditioning. If it's earlier it will be much, much better, but I think middle of January.”

"Aaron, I don't know. It could be the same or it could be a little later, he’s not started training yet.”
