New 2024 MLS rules

The NEW RULE that the MLS will implement starting with the 2024 season.

If a player who leaves does not leave the field of play within 10 SECONDS, the player who enters must wait 60 SECONDS to enter the next interruption. During the waiting period and before the substitute enters, the team will play with ONE MAN LESS.

Additionally, if a player, with a suspected injury, remains on the ground for more than 15 SECONDS, the referee will stop the game and send the medical team to the field to evaluate the player. When safe, the player will be removed and remain off the field for a minimum of TWO MINUTES for further evaluation and treatment.

Agreed. I like it but they need to actually stand by the rules the players will soon learn.

The refs can't follow the rules they have now about players leaving the pitch.

The rugger boys have sussed this one, just stop the stadium clock
