If Joe Ralls has a long-term hip concern I hope the club do not look to extend his stay beyond this term.

I am a big Ralls fan, but he sometimes can only play 30mins, or 60mins then can’t play the next game.

Been a great servant, although not an exceptional footballer.

It is obvious Joe can't play a full match or two games in a week now.

No point having a good player if we can’t rely on him to play week in week out.

For me, we need a major clear out of midfielders, Adams, Rinamhota. Sawyers' wages are in and around £50k per week - clearly not good enough going forward, all, I believe are out of contract this summer.

The names I have mentioned are not of a sufficient quality to propel us back to the EPL. Make a changes now - I would put Wintle's name up there too.


Their wages could be utilised to bring in two quality replacements.

I would now look to promote Antwi and Joel Colwill, give them game time. If not in the Cardiff team, we need to get them out on loan ASAP.

It’s about time our younger ones did finally play, for years the media and the club have been raving about them.

Sadly I am worried as Joe is suffering quite badly and in the long run, we suffer as well.

Makes total sense. Would rather two prem quality midfielders than 6 borderline championship players

However, totally agree looks like he can’t last a game or play 3/4 games in a row

I have heard that he's thinking of calling time on his career at the end of this season and concentrate on coaching.
Would be really sad to see him go as he's been a great servant to Cardiff but he needs to put his health first.

Joe Ledley needed an operation on his hips, I recall. He was younger than Ralls is now.

I agree Annis. Add these to the crocked Ramsey we only have Siopsis. And he will be gone if Bullit goes. Therefore we need 3 fit quality midfielders

How much wpuld it cost to buy a midfielder of his quality and experience tho ?

Siopis needs help .

At the moment Ralls is the glue between defence & attack, the difference between him playing & not is huge & at the moment we don't have anyone capable of doing that job when he is injured or subbed off, we look like a different team. I'm sure someone of his abilities won't come cheap so as long as it's not a career ending thing we need to keep him around for now.

If Joe would accept a cut in wages then id offer him a new deal. I agree with likes of sawyers and rinomhota they are what id consider as dead wood but football teams need characters and leaders, even if theyre not out on the pitch themselves the dressing room needs them. You listen to any players that have been in succesful teams and they will mention the importance of characters and leaders.

Its not a sentimental point of view its whats needed in my opinion.

I doubt Joe and his representatives would expect the sort of deal he has now.

we need ralls simple as! people really need to open their eyes when judging ralls he makes others shine cause he does the dirty work. Siopis and Ralls work so well together

Ralls has been involved in 18 of the 22 this season in Championship and last season he was involved in 41 of the 46

Yes we need him but how can he play if his body is packing up ? He can’t ,
I just hope siopias doesn’t get burned out
