Horrible situation for anybody, especially so close to Christmas

Reading Football Club has been referred to an Independent disciplinary commission (IDC) for continued non-payment of monies owed to HMRC. The Club has defaulted in relation to the amount owed to HMRC for September and October 2023 and as a result is currently under a registration embargo.

Does anyone know the story with Reading? They seemed one of the more stable clubs until recently. What a mess

Reading into it they seem to have overspent over consecutive seasons and now HMRC are throwing the book at them. It's a sorry story.
