3 at the back.

Wed Dec 27, 2023 10:58 am

Is it time to try it?Panzo or NG could easy fit in there while Grant could fill in left wing back until replacement.
Losing Collins in January with no immediate cover (loan Bagan) incoming.
There are various permutations but do we need to try some different, hope January is good to us or prey some players recover form.
My team for Leicester

Alnwick
McGuiness. Gauto. Panzo.
NG. Grant

Wintle Siopis. Ralls

Colwill. Etete.

Nothing to lose in my opinion.

Don’t think KG will fit the system as a wing back.

In terms of helping is full back out, he’s been outstanding, but you can’t stick him at wing back for 90 mins.
He’d get torn a new one!

For me that system sees us lose all attacking threat from Grant and he is the only one getting regularly into decent scoring positions at the moment. Also where does the creativity come from?

Agree a bit with you,but teams cut us open far to easy and next up is the best team.I believe we need 3 in midfield so gone for 5-3-2,just selecting players to play that system.
What would your team be for Friday?

Not sure who will be fit, but I would start this one a bit more defensively minded given who we are playing with the biggest threat being the need to nullify Mivididi who is on fire for them at the moment. Being over run in midfield is the biggest problem. Sadly, I don't think we can play Ralls in a 3 with Wintle too so I've gone for him as being more defensively minded. Its a bit negative but not sure we can do much else v Leicester.

Something along the lines of:

Alnwick
Ng Goutas McGuiness Collins
Siopis Wintle
Bowler Colwill Tanner/Robinson
Grant
