I know we ideally need a proper goalscorer BUT how about the former cardiff skipper tom heaton.
yes he would need to be up to speed with fitness but its a shame for what was an icon at our club to just sitting on the bench never playing at man united.
Our keepers currently are not the worst but just imagine if we could bring heaton back.
Just until he decides to retires.

With Moore pretty much done I think I'd love this tbh. Although with solanke hitting a purple patch and maybe moving on, will this change things in regards to Moore? I dunno, but yeah I'd love heaton back, alnwick has been great since coming back into the team though.

I had to read that again but for a minute I thought Sam was proposing we bring back Heaton as a goal scorer.

It's a no from me. Heaton is 36 and quite rightly maximising his earnings at Man U before retirement in the average 12 year career span, a little longer for GKs a given though.
I loved him as a player, he could still do a excellent job but there's nothing wrong with Alnwick and I also think Allsop should have remained too, as he liked it here and was decent.
We've been blessed in the GK dept for many years, the issues have and remain outfield which we hopefully should address in Jan and the summer.

It was all Tan's idea...!

Agree, mate; our keepers have always been right up there, including the current ones, who are not 'bad' at all...
With the Keiffer deal apparently '
done and dusted', we now need to bring in one or both of our Turkish tagets and add a couple more in defence and midfield...
I don't believe a goalkeeper is 'essential' this season at least...

I’d rather stick with Alnwick and save the wages for an outfield player. Imagine the wage he’s on at Utd

Yes please. Exactly what we need

He’s essentially retired it’s a no from me

No, happy with Alnwick.
As others have said, he’s rightly getting one last big payday at Man Utd without having to play.
I highly doubt he’d want to swap that for us.

I don't think a GK is high on the want list but if we were going to go back in for a former GK it would be Etheridge for me.
Whilst we're on former players I'd grab Grujic as well.
However going back in for former players is a dangerous game as it's normally through rose tinted glasses based on their previous stint rather than their current form

I would send Runarsson back to Arsenal and sign Ethan Horvath from Forest. He played a big part in helping Luton get to the playoffs last season.
