Bakasetas On The Move?

Trabzonspor are lining up Legia Warsaw midfielder Bartosz Slisz to replace Anastasios Bakasetas, who they expect to leave the club this month….

if its to us we are going to have a proper go at promotion but with the turncoat in charge i find it too hard to get my hopes up. i always feel he says hes going to back the manager etc to shut people up. i hope he proves me wrong and gets the players in the manager wants. my hope is we get promoted and then he sells up itwill be for the good for everyone. :bluescarf:

For all of Tan's sort comings we are not a Reading, WBA, Derby or Sheffield Weds. The owners of those clubs have actively put those clubs at risk.

Tan made a major mistake 10 years ago for which he has acknowledged and rectified. The bills are paid every month, and our club is safe as most of the debt is owed to him or the Chairman and they are not calling those debts in without harming themselves.

This is a classic case of beware what you wish for.

Totally agree. He dropped a bollock changing us to Red. However he learned the error of his ways and changed us back to Blue. Everyone makes mistakes so forgive and forget and go forward as a club and as supporters. It is the only way.

not really we have been in a complete mess for the past couple of seasons due to his poor running of the club and not paying debts there is one thing making sure of the running of the club and another owning a club with massive potential just rotting mid table season after season. we now need to spend if not then he should just leave and get someone who wants to actually do something as a club. that one mistake was too much to turn back on he not only ruined the identity he also messed our fan base to which i personally know loads who will not go back or even purchase a shirt with a worm on the badge untill he leaves

I’m no fan of Tan because of the rebrand, but the others are right - things could be a great deal worse.

Don’t forget that a lot of his business in Malaysia is in the hospitality sector, so he took a big hit during COVID.

I think he will eventually sell the club but we know that we need to be Premier League for him to get what he wants. That means he will invest in the playing squad over the next two windows.

But as a club, we are comfortably financially. All clubs have debt. Look at the size of Manchester United’s debt and they’re the biggest club in the world.

We are not in the position that Reading, Derby and especially Bury have been in recent years.

There is no panic to get promoted this season, it’s always been about building for next season. West Brom NEED to be promoted this season due to their financial problems, I’m glad we’re not in a position like that.

I expect us to spend money, but most of it will rightly be in the summer.

It’s easy to say we should be spending millions and millions when it’s not your money.
