Why do people think it's a simple case of signing players on loan and city are the problem? KM thread tells you everything as to why it is a difficult thing to do in January.

A lot of people on the forum are fed by the people ITK that its a done deal etc and things have been in place etc
bulut wants players in early all these things add to fans expectations myself included
And as it's our first chance in a long time to be on the front foot in the transfer window
as yet its the same as the previous 3/4 windows no early movement from us while other clubs have started even if only 5/6 clubs
they have moved early in the window we have'nt .

Monty not sure why people take it on here as gospel regarding players it needs to be taken with caution as everyone even you know that transfers go wrong .... its been well documented we wanted moore but as you've seen it's Bournemouth holding it up not city.. Bakasetas is contracted so not simple task unless pay over odds for him as for other dignings
not sure been any that are confirmed interest so nobody knows whats happening behind scenes ... but by my reckoning there's 18 set of fans saying exactly same as you regarding buisness in window what is club doing why the wait ect ... yes great to get buisness done early but that's unrealistic in January.

All taken on board but we are desperate to bring in new recruits early
we are struggling and most fans recognise this
we have waited for the transfer window to start for the last 5/6 games and bulut was saying we will have to hold on till jan not febuary
and most would like to see players on the pitch before 31st jan.

Yes we are desperate to get players in but do we want any player or ones manager wants? If latter we need to trust him and club are trying hard to get such players.. as said before unrealistic to alway get players you want in 1st week of window..

A number of transfers and loan deals under way now, in the Championship!

I believe the last few players we actually brought in for a fee were Kion Etete, Ollie Tanner and Callum Robinson in the transfer window in summer 2022. Since then, we have relied on free transfer and loan players to keep us in the Championship.
Obviously, this was as a result of the embargo.

So is it any surprise that we are so keen to see at least a couple of new quality players as soon as possible in this January window, who no doubt, will come with a transfer fee.

Loan signings are fine to a certain degree, but they are always going to return to the club we loaned them from at the end of the season. They are only a temporary fix. We cannot build a team for the future with them.

We'd have to be very lucky to sign any more on a free transfer that would strengthen the team.

The current manager has done very well to keep us in the top half of the table so far this season considering he hasn't had a penny to spend until now.
Despite the long build up to this 'window', I fear we may have to wait until around deadline day for any movement; I just hope, who ever he brings in, whether it is today, tomorrow or when the window closes on 1st February, they will strengthen and improve us as a team for the future.

Monty
think we all would like players in early but unfortunately it rarely happens....other clubs have different priorities so cannot compare how quickly they sign players don't forget some clubs wont sign anyone! ..... as for tan that's him being him its been said Dalman is leading the recruitment so tan would have little input to players we sign ..... much as its frustrating patience is the word..

Allan, we mostly appreciate that the January Transfer Window is notoriously tough, so any deals are only 'done' when they are 'done'

People should rest assured our club have 'targets' and 'back up targets' to hand and things will develop nicely over the next week or two... :ayatollah:

Chris I am chilled by things I know club have irons in fire and fignings will just appear like previously whether it's the names mentioned or out of blue players... at least we are actively looking other clubs will not be .

Yes, mate. I was more pointing at the 'we'll sign no one if it's not on 1st January' brigade...! ;) :D

People musnt forget clubs are scared stiff of ffp... wba hull to name 2 must be sailing close go limits
So won't expect alot of buisness in championship
In ghis window.. to be fair to monty the impression was couple players ready to sign as soon as window opened but as I said that was unrealistic given nature of way things can go wrong.
