Eli King has been officially recalled from his loan spell with League Two side Morecambe.

The 21-year-old midfielder made 24 appearances in all competitions for the Shrimps throughout the first half of the 2023/24 season, scoring twice.

An Academy graduate, Eli has featured for the Bluebirds on seven occasions since making his First Team debut in October 2021.

Good. We need him.

Unlikely to be a first team regular with us, hoping of course thet we manage to get some midfielders in during the window, but possibly seen as better than the fringe players we are looking to move on or possibly there has been some interest from a higher leaguer club to test him out further.

Things really are looking up.

I always felt Eli King could do a good job for us, if he was given a run; but this looks like a departure for Jonathan Panzo...

From what i saw last season he is already more accomplished a footballer than Adams and a better athlete than Sawyers. Not sure what Rimonhota did to be outcast from the number 4 CM behind Siopis, Ralls and Wintle?

Bulut probably just wants to have a look at him for a few weeks compared to the current mob, if we get an upgrade in no reason why he couldn't return to his loan as he struggled initially but the penny dropped and he is always one of their higher rated players. This is why it's so important to get the boys out early on in their careers.

I expect him to go out to a league 1 club.

That would make sense, if we a readying him for next season in the championship

If Panzo is going he is also CB cover, played there in the pre-season games.

There are a couple of options here:

- He can play centre midfield or centre back so would be a good option to have on the bench. Especially if Panzo leaves which is likely, as well as either Rinomhota or Sawyers

- League One clubs are interested in him on loan so we could loan him out again

I can't recall is he left-footed?

Don't think he is a center half, many comments from their fans say Eli has one hell of an engine, we need that

Is there a loan windown or can loans move after Jan window closes?
