Eli King aged 21 recalled by Cardiff. after impressive loan at League 2 Morecambe who are 17th in the table.
Cardiff not made decision yet on what to do with him -
I say send King to a League 1 Club like Pompey as it’s a massive jump to go straight back to us in the Championship.

Exactly, we know he is a decent L2 player playing in a struggling team not one of the "funded" teams. Now for L1 then next season with us. My recollection of him is he needed to do things a bit quicker, as the jump from U21 to championship is massive unless you are destined for footballs top table. So hopefully he is on course to try to nail down a starting position for us next season

Annis he probably will go out on loan again to a league 1 club!

Gents,
Unless King is going to actually contribute to the Cardiff first team or switch into a loan to a League One club, I see no reason to disrupt his time at Morecambe.

I completely agree with you Annis. If he is not going to contribute for us - and I don’t think he will - let him stay where he is as he’s playing regularly, enjoying himself and doing well.

Agree. Why move him from a settled place if there is no plan going forward with him. Hopefully he has an equal successful 2nd part of season. Or it could knock him back a bit again

He is probably good enough to get onto our 1st team squad.
Better than Rhinomota and Sawyers.

Agree also. They gave him a new contract so must see something in him.

Just reading the Morecambe forum. They loved him there... "going to be a top player"

are pompey in for him ? i'd have left him where he was to be honest, he was playing regular, to send him now to a league one team where he might be a bench warmer is a bit strange

I honestly think the plan is to have him here and probably play or certainly be part of the match day squad instead of rino/sawyers etc . And if we sign any cms during window and injuries are ok. Then he may get loaned back out if not then I can see him being a occasional player for us. Or regularly if he can keep current form at a higher leve
