Bakasetas will NOT sign for Cardiff City. Forget about him.
EROL BULUT:
About Bakasetas, I would love to have him here, but it would not be a possibility to bring him here.
We have to delete this from our minds. Cancel it and not focus too much on Bakasetas, because he has really good offers from big clubs like Besiktas and Panathinaikos want him back.
We can not deal with them at the same level.

Very odd because according to reports he does not want to go either! So why as erol used them as examples as clubs wanting him?

Monty thought saw 1.5m euros offered by other team.. wages around 30k so cannot be that far outside what we could pay ? But there again who knows..... like said both clubs mentioned are not in contention what is strange is lack if interest considering how good he is and he wants to leave with contract up at end season.

We don't know if he isn't? Dont forget dalman is leading the negotiations you would think its upto him if we can afford a player... but anything can be happening behind scenes.

I have re-read the opening post

People need to remember it doesn’t always come down to money.
You are also forgetting that Bulut has said from day one that this is very difficult to do. Bigger clubs than us want him.

This isn't good considering what has been posted previous.
What about the others?

Bet he's on his way here.

I doubt it - we have had enough transfer windows since relegation from the Premiership where rumour has "promised" this player and that player if Mr Tan is willing to support the manger and it never results in anything other than excuses and disappointment. I will be the first to be greatly pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong but I suspect that we won't get any of our rumoured targets and perhaps we will actually get one or two of our 4th or 5th choices because they are cheap or free. We are 3pts off the playoffs and now is the time to back a decent manager but the Club will not do it. Another season of mid to lower end of the Championship which I hope doesn't completely deteriorate into another survival battle. Please don't accuse me of being a doom merchant - I used to be a CCFC optimist like many others on here but since we were relegated from the Premier basically due to a relative lack of investment in quality players; I have learnt to be realistic about any promises from this regime.

Hard to believe that people on here still seem to think that FM on the xbox is how transfers work & that everything is down to the club not backing the manager when there are so many variables that go into a transfer besides the club (or just Tan on here) not backing the manager. The club the player belongs to actually has a say as well as the player and neither has anything to do with the manager being backed or not but hey let's blame Tan if clubs want silly money or the player isn't available or god forbid a player doesn't fancy playing and living in Cardiff as ridiculous as it may sound to some, it's all Tans' fault for not backing the manager.
As has been said before, it's easy spending other peoples' money.

Yes not for 1st time he as indicated it would be difficult to get him but we have been there with other signings.... don't think he will come here but would not surprise me if something is worked out as Bakasetas as said doesn't want to go to clubs mentioned ... and i believe he's been backed but within ffp restrictions and disposing of players will help the cause hence the delay in getting players in probably.. people moan about wasted money on bad signings perhaps the wait will be worth it.

I have lost track of how many times Bulut has confirmed he will not be coming to us. I believe him!!

I keep reading we have to back the Manager. The first priority will be to stay within FFE rules and unless we can move players out (Not easy) or sell a player like maybe NG then our hands are tied. Last thing we want going into next season is another transfer embargo.

Doesn’t FFP work over three years?
Surely it’s year one on the books as outgoings ( apart from day to day running ) has been nil last couple of windows.
I don’t know what the figure is that you must stay within but can’t we have a go now and move players out in a year or two if things don’t go to plan ?
All questions not assumptions before someone comes at me with a gun.
