Kieffer Moore this morning:

Sat Jan 13, 2024 10:58 am

I was told this, this morning:

My understanding is Cardiff have offered Bournemouth £1.5mill for Moore. The Cherries and the Bluebirds are still slightly apart on the 31-year-old's valuation.

Bournemouth have now paid in full £3,5mill to Cardiff.

Bournemouth owe Cardiff nothing on any past dealings which was totally completed in 2023.

Moore has stated its Cardiff he wants to go to.

Moore is happy with what Dalman has offered him.

Erol Bulut has made Kieffer Moore his main target.

I would guess Bournemouth want between 2 and 3 million.

I am sure the right fee will be negotiated and we can get this done :bluebird:

Moore happy with Dalman’s offer so it’s just getting the fee sorted.

Yes Ned,

That’s why it’s so close as Moore wants to be a Bluebird :bluebird:

Annis, cheers for clearing the fee debt up but wasn't it £3.5 rising to £5m on them staying in premier? And that's why the other £1.5 is being put about.

I didnt think they were in the Premier League when he signed. Didn't he score one of the goals that just about clinched promotion. I thought the extra 1.5 million was if they went up

Correct. He joined them on deadline day in January two years ago, when they were going for promotion from this league.

Could 1.5m if they got promoted?

Re: Kieffer Moore this morning:

It was a initial £3.5 fee..£1 million add on if they got promoted and another £500,000 if they stayed up..£5 million altogether and it’s all been paid

He's not worth anything over 1 million IMO which I know is very different to the majority on here who think he's the messiah & the answer to all our problems.

I think 3MILL is reasonable in todays market.
Depends which Moore turns up. Could be worth more if we end up making the play offs.

Easy to spend someone else's money I guess.

I would not join our club as to me we show NO ambition

He's not the messiah. But he's a proper striker who scores his fair share of goals for the amount of time he spends on the pitch. Surely, that's what every team wants/needs? Plus, he WANTS to play for us and his wages are not beyond our means, neither is the fee. I would pay whatever fee is necessary, that we could afford, for that

That's where we differ because I wouldn't spend more than 1 million on him for lots of reasons least of which is he is getting on now & will have no resale value so 3 mil would be a very expensive gamble on someone who had 1 good season with us a few years ago.

We need defenders before we gamble 3mil on an aging forward in my opinion.

I know I'm in the minority & a lone voice but if we all agreed life would be boring.

Re: Kieffer Moore this morning:

Sat Jan 13, 2024 4:22 pm

I hope we're using him as a smokescreen, we can't have a ' whichever turns up ' striker.

I agree, it would be boring if we all agreed on everything

However, we haven't had a proper striker who scored goals since, ummm, Kieffer Moore...let's get him back if we can afford him!

Why would he come to us a struggling championship side.

Re: Kieffer Moore this morning:

I hadn't realised he is 31 - but if he can score 20 goals for only two seasons that would be brilliant and worth paying a few millions for.

He's never done that before (2 seasons) so I have no idea why anyone would think he could do it now & especially here where we're lucky if there's 1 decent cross per game.

Re: Kieffer Moore this morning:

Imagine putting him in that team today
Wouldnt have had a touch

Re: Kieffer Moore this morning:

I wouldn't pay a penny when he can come in the summer. IMO This is about building for next season

Great player and will improve us but inverted forwards, full backs in midfield, would he see the ball?

It would not surprise me if he does not come now.

He's still got 18 months left on his contract at Bournemouth.

Re: Kieffer Moore this morning:

Surely moore is having 2nd thoughts looking at Cardiff and thinking maybe not it looks like a mc carthy team again.

Re: Kieffer Moore this morning:

There will be no significant financial outlay on players, let's remember that even Bakasetas fee is about 1.5m and 30k per week and that is termed "way out of our league"

They said the same about siopis and others... all managers, in all leagues, down play it. Proof is in the pudding... lets see if the club come good

Forget him at 1.5 Million.
