MY VIEW: TODAY CARDIFF FROM THE FIRST SECOND WERE TOTALLY OUTPLAYED FROM A LEEDS TEAM THAT HAD BEDN STRUGGLING RECENTLY:

I am worried if we don’t sign some quality players asap.

We should of lost about 6nil.

Cardiff have now only won 4 games in their last 14 fixtures, relegation form.

They are another class than us, yet they’ve only Won 2 of their last 6 games.

Leeds had lost a lot of form lately in League in last 6 games W 2 D1 Lost 3, only 2 wins in their last 6 games.

Alnwick man of the match.

Cardiff gave Leeds way to much respect.

FIRST-HALF: 13th min Leeds tore Cardiff’s defence apart.
Firpo got past Siopis far too easily on the left before Summerville is played in down the edge of the box. He fires a cross low into the box and there is a bit of pinball before it lands at the feet of Bamford, who was on the floor but sweeps it in. 0-1

After 30mins Alnwick saved again it could of been 3-4 nil to Leeds.

31st min: GOAL! Cardiff City 0-2 Leeds United (James 31)
Yet again our defence awful.
Siopis lost the ball to Kamara in a dangerous position and he plays in Summerville. His poked shot is half saved but trickles towards the line, where James meets it to poke in.

44mins : Ralls off, Rubin Colwill on.

Leeds totally outplayed City.

SECOND-HALF: It was all Leeds again.

It was Leeds just playing with the ball.

78th min Leeds hit the post.

87th min Leeds just smashed Cardiff and shot from outside penalty area and 3nil.

Awful annis. But did people really expect anything different from today with this squad. I certainly didn't and knew the result and way we would play before a ball was kicked, sit off watch them play as thate what we do now instead of getting in there faces like before.

They got quality within and class and it showed today we got nothing really and that's why we lost that's the bottom line as we have a team of freebies.

You got to be realistic irrelevant of who you support. Not good enough to even lay a glove on them and that's that.

We go again and hopefully half a team of new players but we shall see :bluescarf

Annis, according to some on here, we have 2 signings almost done. Personally, I don't think any are close.

We are on a downward spiral and Bulut needs to start games more positively.

Uttely dreadful performance. One of the worst this season. I dont mind that there is a gulf in class with Leeds but we just handed it to them on a plate today with no aggression or fight. We're at home. I am not sure where we go now. Is there any point investing in this team under Bulut? We are miles behind in terms of quality even if we did make the play offs. I am starting to have doubts over Bulut now too. The mentality of the team starting matches is a real concern. Big cross roads for the club. I can see why they are hesitant over offering Bulut a new contract. Personally, I would only invest this window at the right price. Forget chasing the play offs this year.

Exactly annis! The team shape, fluidity etc... there was nothing. Home support stunned into silence.

Leeds are a quality, well drilled side and we look like we should be 24th right now.

I hope bulut starts pushing for transfers now....

Absolute terrible today, and dont give me the "leeds are miles ahead" rubbish, our midfield is dreadful they cant pass dont move to make space struggle with simplle passes, we need a good few players in my ooinion few deadwood needs to be drooped off, but we are essentially not getting relegated so thats better than last year

Re: MY VIEW: TODAY CARDIFF FROM THE FIRST SECOND WERE TOTALL

Sat Jan 13, 2024 5:13 pm

We got nothing about us its gone no press no direction nothing in midfield or upfront.
Can't compare the team that drew 2-2 away at Leeds.
No fight just gave it to Leeds .All a fan will ask is give it a right old go 100% and where stand off we aint doing that.
Its a real problem now for us so only one man can change this 8 goals conceded and none scored last two games.
Bulut has to sort it out but Tans needs to invest aswell

Excluding Alnwick they were a bunch of girls blouses today. They gave the fans nothing to cheer them on and when the fans did try to respond they got nothing from the team.

This has been an awful run with performances a lot worse than last season. We have scraped some wins which have covered over the cracks but something is telling me Buluts job could be on the line here.

We were dreadful today. Even though Leeds have spent some money and got better players, we just didn’t seem up for the fight. It’s crazy we are still only 3 points off the playoffs with this group of players. The club needs to invest with some quality if they have any real ambition.

Absolute disgrace from majority of the players today. How the hell Etete was on Spurs books is astonishing. Steward on my block said fcuk Bambi on Ice he looks more like a new born giraffe… he’d rather stand and watch the ball being played across the back line between both defenders and keeper than press them. And with a team like Leeds you need to press or Ampadu smacks is over the top down the channel to Bamford.

Think letting the players go already was a mistake, should have released a player when we had one actually through the door. I can understand reducing the wage bill to accommodate new players but we shouldn’t have left ourselves so short on options for the match day squad.

We looked disjointed today. McGuinness looked off, normally he deals with balls and today he took too long and got caught a few times.

Bulut needs to go back to the drawing board with tactics and the board need to push these proposed transfers through asap

Tan wants some of the wages off the books before investing. He has always been like that and besides he has been bitten a number of times now. Bulut has made it clear he wants 6 new players. Its going to be very interesting to see what happens over the new few weeks.

It’s been obvious that was gonna happen today , no new players have come in , desperate for qaulity players , you can’t blame bulut , it’s asking for miracles with this squad , it will get better IF we get qaulity in and if Ramsey n owdowda come bak this season , otherwise we have no chance next season of getting up to top 6

I have just got back from the game. No RC in the starting line up. No pace, no creativity, no passion, no aggression and no effort. I am starting to wonder if Bulut is the right manager. Even when you are up against a better side you have to have a plan and aggression. We were lacking today in all areas. No striker, no midfield and the back four had a very bad day. Thank god for our keeper. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Yea crazy, just nothing there performance wise for most of that game. There is 0 movement from our players.

We play the same style as Leeds but they move, we pass it around but no one moves so it does nothing, they few times we did pass and move we had an attack.

Bowler had some nice moments in the first half, but he has the ball there no one helping.

I have never seen such a rigid f*cking team as us its unbelivable

Re: MY VIEW: TODAY CARDIFF FROM THE FIRST SECOND WERE TOTALL

Sat Jan 13, 2024 5:54 pm

One thing I noticed, Siopis, Ralls and Wintle never see Bowler or Grants runs in behind or rarely. When Colwill was on he picked a lovely pass to Rhinamota only for him to fluff it.

It’s not the key pass that creates a chance, but Colwill and Ramsey both play some passes that just put us on the front foot, rather than backwards and keeping pressure on us. Leeds kept us pinned back, we had very little out balls other than hoof and hope

The above posts say it all - the natives are getting restless.

Another meek surrender. No urgency, no tackling, too rigid, one striker (in name only) totally isolated. Invited Leeds onto us. Inevitable loss. Sad really as we're usually always up for Leeds.
Bulut is a one trick pony who has no Plan B. The Leeds number 8 ran it - nowhere near them in midfield.

Where is the aggression in thus team? I can 100% guarantee that our 2001 team would've given this Leeds side hell today!

So, how do Coventry manage to turn Leicester over today? I'll tell you how- belief, hard work, not letting the opposition take the piss. We're a fking easy 3 points for some teams and I'm getting sick of it!

No creativity in the middle and nobody to put the ball in the net. Something needs to change...quick
