Sorry for the delay, had to go to the pub after that before I posted my thoughts.
Abject is the only word I can use to describe that. It was awful.
Leeds are a decent side but we played right into their hands from minute one.
I stick up for him a lot but Bulut got it totally wrong today.
Now to have a few drinks before a long train journey home, very disappointing today.

Buluts management could start coming under scrutiny now.

Same here, mate. I needed a pint after that.
There needs to be some serious questions asked after that. The football currently is far worse than last season.

Another meek surrender. No urgency, no tackling, too rigid, one striker (in name only) totally isolated. Invited Leeds onto us. Inevitable loss. Sad really as we're usually always up for Leeds.
Bulut is a one trick pony who has no Plan B. The Leeds number 8 ran it - nowhere near them in midfield.
So, how do Coventry manage to turn Leicester over today? I'll tell you how- belief, hard work, not letting the opposition take the piss. We're a fking easy 3 points for some teams and I'm getting sick of it!

Play Grant as a 10.

I can't work it out. Its either the championship is totally catching him out and he is not ready for it or he is just over thinking it.
We waved the white flag with the team and tactics. I accept until we get shot of the Morison signings we will always struggle, as they are useless but this is concerning.
Don't spend a penny on Moore, this season is gone and it is about preparing for next.

Launch it over the full backs head into space every now and then. Stop thinking you can play pretty patterns against better athletes and footballers than you. Keep the ball as far up field as possible. Its so slow and manufactured it hurts to watch

I've been critical of his management for for the last 8 or so games, but most defend him by blaming the players.
Last season most of the ones defending Bulut this season were blaming Morison and Hudson for bad performances with a weaker squad.
Bulut's been talking this week about his contract. He ain't going to get it extended playing like that.

Not continue to play ralls wintle and siopis as a midfield 3 to start.
Trying the same thing, and expecting the same result is insanity!

Listen to Bulet tonight " we have targets but we have financial difficulties, I've not heard from the Chairman or owner" this is not good.
He has no contract and has heard nothing about that either FFS what is going on.
Rumour around me today was we have significant financal fair play issues either we're bumping against it or are already under investigation and could face a points deduction. Can't see it because of the transfer window bans.
On the game today let's remember they brought 30+ million pounds of players off the bench so they could have a run out.

Leeds, Hull, Southampton, Leicester have all followed the same pattern. No press or aggression from the start and we've handed three points on a plate. Today was particularly humiliating though. Bulut has to be questioned for the teams mentality in these games and set up even with the very limited squad we have. Interesting week ahead. Do we back him or move on again? Personally I think we have to be patient and keep with him. Changing managers is no good either.Build for the future. Forget top 6, lets just see us improve and grow for next season. Top 10 finish would be a huge improvement to last year.

Yesterday Bulut said that 2 players were close to joining.
24 hours or so later and he’s had a change of tune. I think he will be gone soon. His press conference sounded like he was walking on a tightrope.

Why has "Wez"always got an excuse for this team it was totally embarrassing today and he knows it so stop making these embarrassing comments and say it as it is that we were absolutely useless and partly the managers fault with his inept tactics.
Sat Jan 13, 2024 6:27 pm
I just can not see how FFP can even be mentioned!!!
We basically have an L1 & L2 squad on L1 and L2 wages and haven't paid a fee for an age.

What is Bulut meant to do though, with a tired squad and a lot of players that quite frankly aren't good enough.
Leeds have a pretty much PL squad still.

Steve Cooper is of course currently available??

11 against 10 helped.

He wouldn’t touch us.

It's a good question. Some of the Turkish players he's after may not want to come if Bulut's contract runs out in June.

Yes - being up against 10 would help but the attitude and aggression from the Coventry forwards was light years away from our showing against the Foxes.
We face anyone in the top 6 and just don't turn up - end of. Another example was Southampton away - piss poor 1st half from us, same old passive start today.
Bulut needs to try and actually use his wingers and maybe try 442 or is that beyond him?
Sat Jan 13, 2024 6:56 pm
I think bullut as sucked the confidence out of all our players...I'm sorry but I am not seeing the quality of his management...from as far back as Ipswich away..his decisions are shocking...lack of quality is one thing but worse than that is the complete lack of fight in the team...does anyone else believe that wintle siopis and ralls work as a combination..they all tread on each others toes

There's no excuse for not putting in 100% effort and desire. Keeper was the only one today and you could see how pissed off he was with the players in front of him. Truthfully, I told my daughter if this continues we won't be renewing season ticket and will do more away games. At least there's a crack away, bored shitless at home games this season.

100% agree mate, just put the 11 v 10 as context. To be honest I think Leeds were playing against kids today.

ANYTHING!!!! This team/formation/game plan has been awful for months. Yes, months. Points scraped havent been due to great performances..
Collins for Ralls or someone other than Grant infront of him. Needs help, is a weak spot.
Etete for anyone.
STOP f*cking about from the back. It leads to 0 goals, 0 chances.
For a "play from the back" team, we have less possession nearly every game. For a back 4 w/ 2x holding midfielders, we ship goals. We dont have a style, are soft and not much of a threat with the ball.
Change ANYTHING, doing nothing/the same isn't working!!

If those who put on a blue jersey today and drew a wage shame gutless cowards if you cannot put your foot in go and play netball. Let us be honest some of these players are not up to it if there is a worse full back than NG I have yet to see him.
As for the midfield it is the first time in my 63 years I have seen a goalkeeper balling out outfield players with such venom.
If CCFC think this is acceptable ...well do not expect fans to turn up to watch such feeble dross

It's called an opinion .. which means it doesn't have to toe the party line ? Who are you to tell anyone to stop having an opinion no matter how crazy they may appear

How the f**k can u blame the manager when he hasn’t got the qaulity on the pitch , unless he’s a magician then there’s some bad games coming up unless he gets qaulity players in , it’s simple , it ain’t rocket science , the team hanging on by a thread , but if there’s a question about money spending then we are sliding down

Ned,
Your spot on.
And it’s week in week out now awful football.
