CCFC Financial problems

Sat Jan 13, 2024 6:27 pm

The manager in his after match press conference said there was some financial problems stopping him signing players and wasn't confident about anyone coming in this week.

I'm starting to think we aren't going to sign anyone for any money just a couple of loans and free transfers.

I think this was always the case. January is never a good time to buy anyway. Forget Moore too now.

That is a big concern.

He got it completely wrong today but I do still have faith in him.

I also strongly believe he’ll walk if he doesn’t get backed. He can go back to Turkey and get another job.

I wouldn't blame him for leaving if the board don't back him.

I hope this is just the same dampening down bollox all managers say

Would not blame him for going.

We have no cash and FFP issues!

Re: Financial problems

Hopefully it is just him having english as his 2nd language It could be as simple as we have offered £1.5 million and Bournemouth want £2m So we have to up our offer so that is the financial problem / issue at this stage

Re: Financial problems

I think he means can't t compete on wages with clubs abroad

I listen to his bbc interview and he said that players need to want to come to us and he's working on targets .

I'm hoping you are right. I would be very surprised if he doesn't get any financial backing given the transfer embargo and our recent insurance payout. Fingers crossed he gets a few deals sorted during this window, to appease the fans if nothing else.

If we are skating on thin ice with ffp then someone needs sacking.

Why you can only lose 11 million a season that's the fact, look at tje other clubs in the division apart from the relegated clubs there's not much money around being spent , unless you sell players then it's hard .

But Wez we haven't allegedly spent anything so how can we have ffp issues? Can't see it myself unless some serious fraud or laundering has gone on.

Not spent anything but what is wages then? We make losses like most other clubs ... it's the amount of losses over 3 yrs that defines ffp sure someone will know the figures... unlike Derby no one is fiddling the sale of property sounds like you are suggesting someone is taking unauthorised money out club ? :o

I don’t know why everyone is getting so annoyed - this is Cardiff every season - never ever any money just a load of hot air

Wages yes but some seem to think there's only Mr Tans pocket money coming in.
What about ticket sales, merchandise etc ffs we are not a poor club when you look at others. I find it amazing that we are paying wages to the likes of Dalman and Choo but what exactly are they doing? Last I heard Dalman was reinvigorated and running the show with his money.

Ticket sales are around 5 million a year , our wage bill is 20 million puts it in perspective

Income is limited compared to outgoings which is much larger and getting worse ? All chairman ceo get paid regardless whether you think they deserve it or not.... so many stories about who is running the show and putting money in no wonder there is confusion about ffp and clubs finances

Back in November Dalman stated players arriving were dependant on monies coming in?

Ie The inurance payout from sala.

so what has gone wrong

Seems that they still havnt paid us out , bit naughty if you ask me . Most clubscare in the same boat as us tbh the days of big transfers in the championship have gone with ffp

Re: CCFC Financial problems

Don't believe it the insurance payout one bit unless they've appealed.

Re: CCFC Financial problems

Sun Jan 14, 2024 9:08 am

Is it possible this is all smoke and mirrors.

The insurance payout would leave other clubs thinking we have money to burn

This is just a big poker game of negotiations & for us to pay only what we need to / fair price for players , rather than inflated price to satisfy selling club for their own monetary gain/ffp issues.

If I was in the buying market I would be playing down my financial position
