Where We're At

I don't post 'New Topics' very often but I thought I had to provide a sense of perspective relating to our current position because this season and pre season have been fascinating for me. From being relegation candidates last year, we were given hope by a new manager and some new signings which were accompanied by some good results and good performances. Of course, the 'honeymoon' period also helped and we flirted with the playoff places (we are only 4 points away from them as I write). But the 'honeymoon' period ended and we all began to appreciate the limitations of this squad - which was evident today - apparently. I think that Bulut raised expectations too high and it is time we came down to earth. Bulut is no miracle worker but imv he is a good manager and we have to give him time. The squad definitely needs improving and some players need to go out - but I am optimistic. And I haven't been optimistic about City for a long time.

I agree with you about expectations but i feel when on a bad run, we cannot keep doing the same thing and expcting same results.

The playing from the back is really frustrating... and the same 3cin midfield is obviously not cutting it. Why not try 2 up top or something different... whats the worst that will happen, we concede, we loose a game... we're doing that anyway
