Something Not Right

Sun Jan 14, 2024 12:04 pm

I know we’ve won a few games over the last 5/6 weeks (luckily in my opinion) but after such a promising start to the season when we were playing some really good flowing attractive football at times..what an earth has happened recently??

Defensively after looking quite strong early season all 4 defenders have gone completely off the boil losing tackles, giving the ball away, not marking properly etc

In midfield we are losing individual battles Siopis has gone from a world beater to a parks player in a matter of weeks??

And attacking wise we are creating nothing, being shrugged off the ball like school kids and not pressuring or closing down the defenders

You expect individual players to lose a bit of form now and again but not the entire outfield 10 all at the same time??

Bulut lost the dressing room??

Players just not good enough??

Others teams worked us out??

Other teams have worked us out, and Bulut doesn’t seem to have a plan b.

Siopis is quickly realising how hard the Championship is. His game is built on energy and I think he’s physically drained.

I think Bulut is struggling. He's completely underestimated this league and it's hard to see a way out of this rut we are in without investment.
I don't think he's lost the dressing room, the players haven't downed tools (yet). We are just completely devoid of any creativity and the team knows it.
Against most the the teams in the league we compete and we give them a game...but against Leeds (and Southampton & Leicester), the players and manager know we've lost before a ball is kicked. It's like they purposely take their foot of the gas to conserve energy for the next opponent and I weirdly almost agree with it (but absolutely hate it too!).
I don't know, we are just cr@p at the moment ain't we. I want to like Bulut and I want him to be the answer but for all the experience he's gained in Turkey, I'm not really seeing what it's bringing to the table here in the championship.
If I was Tan I'd be 50/50 on whether to open my wallet.
