Why Can't Bukut See This?

Mon Jan 15, 2024 11:20 am

The manager's insistence on playing Grant wide is wearing thin. We've an inept left back probably fatigue, of course you need cover BUT you also need goals to win matches. He played the last 20 as a 10 on Saturday, too little Bulut too late

Here's Grant doing what he does best scoring goals...That's what earnt him a £15 million move to The Baggies

If parks player Etete gets the nod Saturday we're done for yet again, Plymouth are free scoring down there. Meite is better wide, not a goal scorer as we've seen all season

Grant through the middle or as a false 9 with Rubin Colwell in at 10. Give them a run in the team, not just one game. Joel Colwell in the mixer, he deserves a start in an under performimgl midfield. Wintle or the flagging Siopsis take your pick.

Ralls to left back if fit, get the ball forward quickly to Rubin, increase the tempo 10fold, and we have half a chance.

Bulut's dour, negative back to our goal tactics - pop them in the bin, and give the game a go eh lads?

Up the F£$"^&* City!

Forget Grant, Meite and Etete as goal scorers. We don't have a goal scorer end of.

Unfortunately, we can't ignore Grant, Meite and Etete as we don't have any other options up front until we bring in new signings.
So far, this season in all competitions, our top scorers are Etete and Robinson with 5 goals; followed by Grant, Goutas, Ng, Ugbo and McGuiness with 4 goals. Meite only has 1 goal.
With Ugbo and possibly Robinson out of the equation, it's currently a toss up between Meite, Grant and Etete.
Meite certainly is not the answer.

Not much choice!

Great post Wiggy.

The only thing I'd change is keeping Ralls in midfield, we need him there but the rest I think is spot on.

But I can't see Bulut changing from his defensive tactics. Bowler must be cursing the day he agreed to come here, he's a shadow of the player he was at Blackpool. He started the season very well but has become more defensive as the games go by and is now ineffective going forward.
