both Nottingham forest and Everton both been charged with breaches of Premier league profit and sustainability regulations.

The Premier League now officially confirm Everton and Nottingham Forest have been referred to an independent commission for Profit & Sustainability Rules breaches.

“Everton FC and Nottingham Forest FC have each confirmed to the Premier League that they are in breach of the League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR). This is as a result of sustaining losses above the permitted thresholds for the assessment period ending Season 2022/23.

“In accordance with Premier League Rules, both cases have now been referred to the chair of the Judicial Panel, who will appoint separate Commissions to determine the appropriate sanction.

“Commissions are independent of the Premier League and member clubs. The proceedings are heard in private with the Commissions' final decisions made public on the Premier League's website. The League will make no further comment until that time.”

Surely Everton have already been punished for this with a 10 poindt deduction, seems they have been lumped in with Notts forest who have just been charged

It's based on rolling 3 season cycle ... one of forest's is in championship ... as its a rolling cycle 1 season can be part of next cycle Everton falls foul of that .....

Man City have already been charged by the PL so their case is going ahead. There has been a delay because of City’s high profile and expensive lawyers but there will be a case and I think they will be found guilty.

I knew Forest were facing issues but Everton will feel they are being targeted now - whether that’s true or not.

Chelsea have been clever by signing players on eight year contracts, so they can spread fees over that amount of time. But they could also be charged soon.

Newcastle also sailing close to the wind which is why they haven’t bought anyone this window. Also explains why they are putting so much pressure on Eddie Howe to get them in the Champions League again.
