Deafening Silence

Tue Jan 16, 2024 7:45 am

Yet again we here nothing from our chairman. This is a crucial part of the season and not a peep.
We do not have clue what's going on. The enthusiasm from Dalman is overwhelming

Possibly he’s getting on with things behind the scenes rather than telling everyone (including other agents) what’s going on.

If you look at the wider picture there is very little inward movement within the championship and certainly very little full transfers

I agree mate. Players agents and clubs tend to hold out for better offers then in the last week or so it’s a rush to get players signed / loaned. I’m certainly not panicking yet.

Gareth 21 transfers into Championship clubs many of these loans and the only money spent on buying have been by those relegated last two seaons and other clubs with money to spend

January can be quieter but usually because clubs make most of their dealings in the summer and don’t have the budget like they do normally.

We however, haven’t spent money in years, should be seeing something by now.

Yes January is never a good time to recruit, and whilst EBs wish list is for 6 players, in practical terms that is a big stretch

I don't think we will get our top targets. We will probably end up with2/3 maximum. With the managers future unclear at the moment, it's highly likely that any incoming players won't be any off his list.

Bulut wants 6, but at this point if we can get 3 first team players, I’d bite your hand off!

Need something to freshen it up.

Trouble is Rog we were told that's things were in place, deals were done* I know deals fall through*
KM was over the line blah blah.

On the other board, Keith Morgan of the Trust paints a different picture after speaking to the club regarding transfers. Basically says that the manager and the club are still trying to bring players in and move some out but it's never easy to finalise these deals. Hopeful that some will be completed this week.

We certainly were not told that via the club, that was all speculation and rumours on here.

Yes because at all other football clubs the chairman comes out with daily updates as to exactly what’s going on behind the scenes and the stages each potential transfer target is at. Not.

Didn't say it did but itk folk were told snippets which can go wrong as I've already stated. So maybe there is something in this ' nobody really knows '

16 days in and no evidence of any incoming players. Many other clubs have already done some business and have players on the pitch. Very concerning :bluescarf:

I never mentioned daily updates, i am talking about Dalman ,s silence for months on end, and it has been like that for years.
Hence why Keith asked the heirachy what the situation is, he shouldnt have too, Dalman should keep the fans in touch
periodically

You will never the words "done deal " or "in the pipeline " from Dalman, he's not that stupid. As far as ITK info is concerned it has been the quietest I've ever known it and this is down to cutting off the source, that is , the internet journo's.One or two on here may have club contacts but even they have to be careful. If it ever got out that a member of staff was responsible for leaking sensitive stuff they would face instant dismissal and in case you are wondering it's been done before.
