I personally hope the club spend now and see where we end up this season
but the main reason is we will have gelled together as a team
playing the rest of the season
We will only need tweaking in the off season ready for a push next season
if we do not make anything of this one
rather than trying to put a team together at the start of next season
And thirdly to give us fans something to shout about for the remainder of this season
and enjoy
god knows us fans need a lift on the terraces again with some hope of finally turning a new chapter in 2024.

Actually agree with you.
We should spend a bit now to improve our chances of a good end to the season.
We can then strengthen further in the summer to push for a promotion chance.
Sadly, I’m worried we will do neither.

Offer Bulut a contract extension for starters then I would say spend now and the summer
Within reason of course
We need stability and to back a manager who is not a million miles away from having a team ready to challenge

It would be lovely for our fans to come back with a great 2nd half to the season buy if we do sod all in this window now the embargo has lifted i fear our crowds are going to dwindle even more
I think this is what most fans are annoyed and frustrated about
the board don' t look at or feel the hurt football fans like we do sadly

What we have to avoid at all costs is making panic buys just to appease the fans. If the club are unable to bring in genuine quality we should wait until the summer.

Worcester - I’m worried if we don’t spend this month Bulut will go.
He’s done plenty already to show he is capable at this level.
Imagine if a club let him actually buy the players he wants, I think his team would be unreal.

spend now give it a real go for play offs if nothing comes of it get a few more for the new season and go for top two

That's how I feel and it's a real concern.
If he walks, it's clear our board have no ambition.

Some of the suggestions made on here are totally unrealistic. Get a few players now and a few more in the summer and Bob's your uncle we can push for a top 2 place next season. No consideration about financial constraints, FFP or even whether Bulut is up to the job.
Let's face it, he's hardly pulling up trees and if the board are having second thoughts about backing him during this window, it is quite understandable.
Personally I think he has to prove to the board he has the motivational qualities and tactical skills to effect an immediate improvement to the team's performance.

Some good points; but at some point we seriously need to give a manager his head for more than a couple of windows...

Unless we can find some good players at a reasonable price I would wait until the summer when there will be a lot more available and many quality free transfers around. I would certainly see that we have 5 loan players by the time the January window closes.

We need players in - weather it's a mix of loans or buys - We have let 5 players go over the last 2 weeks ...

If we are serious about getting back in the Premier League we have to improve our squad in EVERY transfer window!!!

Spend and get 5-6 players in with quality and have a go at the playoffs

Agree

If we don't get any decent players in, I think we will stay afloat this season and Tan should look to sell before next season. If he doesn't sell, then it will be a ground hog season of staying afloat until an offer is excepted. Hope I'm wrong and the manager is backed in the next 2 weeks.

We need consistency and that will be achieved by a long term manager.
Of course that's the difficult part where we need to get it right.

I believe that it will take at least three successful transfer windows to build a team and squad good enough to have a proper push for promotion and believe Erol Bulut could achieve that if given the chance. Unfortunately fans, club boards and owners very seldom have the patience to allow that to happen.
In the current transfer window I would prefer us to get quality loan players in like Ryan Giles and Keiffer Moore to try and ensure we finish reasonably high in the table. Yes I did say Keiffer Moore in on a short term loan rather than a permanent deal as that would be far cheaper than a longer term financial commitment and I believe his usefulness to us in terms of playing when he will be 32 and in terms of a sell on value will diminish quite rapidly over time. The money saved from a lack of a permanent deal would then improve the coffers in the more important Summer 2024 transfer window by which time the contracts of a number of people we wish to offload will have ended. Would be great to offload them now but if they don`t want to go their contracts say they can stay and the club will have to continue bearing their cost.
The Nantes legal case would hopefully been settled by then as well in CCFC`s favour so that a real go at squad improvements could then be started with a far reduced risk of Profitability and Sustainability rules.

Totally agree with all the points raised in your 2nd paragraph.
The issue many fans have is whether Bulut has shown enough to be entrusted with the funds to take us to the next level. Yes he should be commended for getting us into a relatively comfortable league position but that's where the good news ends. The dire quality of football played and the backward step many of the players seemed to have taken does nothing to enhance his reputation. If anything it puts a major question mark over his managerial and coaching capabilities.
On the flip side of that is do we want to be changing managers every few months ? Probably not, which is why we should stick with him and fingers crossed hope for the best.
