Bulut’s target is 6 New players in the January Transfer Window.

So far 5 players have gone out.

“We are not looking only for loan players. We have a few players for signing permanently. I am hoping (deals are done quickly) and from today I will start to pray for that."

We have to finalise at least two or three transfers in the first week of January because of the adaptation to the team. Now we are in the second part of January and we haven’t finalised any transfers.

"Now I have a problem with my squad. I have 15 players. Maybe at the weekend we will have four or five players for the under-21s. I will still hope to have some signings in the next few days or next week. We now have two weeks."

Asked if financing the deals were the stumbling block for transfers not yet getting done, Bulut replied: "I think (so). But OK, sometimes it isn't the finance. It depends on the other club. They wait, they don't want to give a loan, they try to sell and try to wait until the end of the period, but I lose time then. I cannot wait on just one player and get him on January 31, because if not then I have nothing. I have to fix my deals before.

Ramsey how much fitness has he lost?

He has done a lot of running. Game fitness is different than when you run. Game fitness is something else. He needs some games before he starts. Training games between each other, O’Dowda, too. I cannot give a guarantee when he will have his first game for 90 minutes. I have to be careful not to lose him again. We don’t have enough players as it is.

How is everything within the squad? Tough results…

We have a little bit of a problem with the squad, players’ injuries and sickness, we still have O’Dowda and Ramsey out. Today Ramsey trained the first time with us so that’s a good, positive points.

Robinson still has the illness, the sickness. Rallsy looks like he will not be with us. Rubin Colwill we will see if he can be with us. We have 15 players available for the weekend.

Ramsey back in training, timescale for matches?

Today was only the first part with us. Not total training. We have to go step by step. Tomorrow we will see then next week he will be more involved in sessions. Next week we can speak much, much better about when he will come back. When he is back, his team-mates are happy, we are happy to see him back. We will be more happy if O’Dowda comes back so we will have our squad back and offensive players back. In that position we have issues, to find players to play in those positions, because of illness and injuries.

Some transfers at ‘advanced stage’, when will signings be announced?

If it depends on me, I would announce it yesterday. I can only give names and say we have to go forward with the clubs, players, agents. Club agrees with the player, then the club waits, the other club might want to sell or loan, then the player gets another offer. There are many details.

I think we could make at least two transfers in the first 10 days of January. It doesn’t happen. Now we have to work much much harder to finalise until February 1, the transfers we need for the team to push to stay close to the play-off positions. We are only three points away - it’s still nothing.

I said before five or six (transfers) would be great. We need it. Two players have left. Ugbo and Panzo left. We have two players less so we have to cover those positions. It looks like we need five, maybe six.

We played them a few weeks ago at home here. We should have won that game. We conceded an unlucky second goal, but our squad is now less and we don’t have many players, we should go there to Plymouth to take the three points and focus only on that. It’s possible to do it. “You know the situation, I have mentioned it many times. When we took the team from June until now, even with the transfer ban we had, we tried to take the best players we can with our limits. I think we made some good transfers which helped the team a lot. Still when we see we are only three points away from the play-offs, with a bit of luck we could have been in sixth position. We had games where we could take points but didn’t. We have to push to get some transfers to stay close to the play-offs. We still have 19 games left to play, so I will tell my team always that we will push until the end. “

In one way, I can understand because of the last few years of what’s happened here, relegation positions. But right now we don’t have to speak about this. Now we are talking about something else. That’s why we have to push, we are always pushing. We will push until the end to stay close and my players have done a great job until now and will do until the end of the season. Nah.. I read that as sometimes and particularly in January, deals are more complicated and therefore take longer.

As the month progresses, I can sense Erol becoming rather dismayed at the club.
I'm starting to think he won't be with us beyond this season, which is a great shame.

They had four months to get players lined up, signed on pre-contract or agreements for loans firmly in place... They could've gone target to target, discounting them and moving on.

What did we do, bring a new head of recruitment ten days in to the window let a load of players leave and brought nobody in.

Seriously hope we get some quality reinforcements this month.

We still need to acquire 50 points to be safe(ish) but now from a weaker position. Not a rosy picture is it?!
