Paul Abbandonato on kieffer

Thu Jan 18, 2024 9:57 am

Seeing criticism of
@CardiffCityFC
on here, why haven’t they put a bid in for Kieffer, only enquired? They HAVE put a bid in, were first to do so, told it’s to bring him on loan with view to summer buy. Bournemouth need a body in first, plus clearly will hold out for best offer

heres hoping we get our man we need a lift with the transfer window this gives us hope as to why its taking so long :old:

If true. Why not pay more and buy him now? . Why wait until someone else does ? We haven’t bought anyone for ages so don’t tell me we can’t afford it. The whole club desperately needs a boost. In life you have to speculate to accumulate

Apparently they are waiting on a player before letting us have him on a loan with a view to buy in the summer ?

Solanke is apparently a target for the toon so if that happens they will be light up top without bringing people in

No chance that happens this month, Bournemouth would want f**k off money and Newcastle can't make it work without selling due to FFP.

FFP. At the last meeting with MD, he confirmed we were close to our limit. Nobody knows why we are that close as this has been the case since last April as this was a red flag back then and presumably would have been mitigated accordingly to anticipate general and post embargo recruitment restrictions.

That rumour was firmly put to bed by Newcastle manader, Eddie Howe...

They are chasing Ivan Toney and look likely to win the race. The issue may be that it wouldn't be until Summer...

For me, Toney 'owes' Bournemouth for his self-inflicted absence... :ayatollah:

Yes that's possible, FFP is over three years and we had big salaried players on our hands, three years ago through the Neil Warnock signings, and signing him in the summer [the start of a new year] makes sense

Agree the club were very clever putting the sala fee in as if we do get money back from nantes and insurance that can go against it .

I missed that, Sven. That is good news for us.

I do hope so...!

Don't doubt that Keiffer's preferred move is to Dinas Caerdydd...! :ayatollah:

It was Bournemouth who were the last team on his 12 team accumulator which came in and won him 125k. Until then his bets weren’t big winners and it was all on his app. When he won 125k they had to pay him directly and then ‘Ivan Toney, Brentford Football Club’ as his address was given and they realised he was betting.

Bloody Bournemouth.

In all seriousness and I don’t mean this disrespectfully (as I’m sure Sven wasn’t).

Brentford and Bournemouth are both nothing special and much alike. If only we could establish ourselves we could be a difference maker I think. Capital City club would really catch the imagination.

I’ve always thought that mate. Brighton could fall into that category too I think.

100%.

I think our chance was that season we got to the championship with Earnie, Kav, Gabbs, Collins. Had we got up then into the prem we could have been a team full of Welsh players in the premier league moving into a new stadium with massive momentum.

Ah right Maccy my bad, thought Sven meant he owes Brentford for sticking with him through his ban.
