I Think Bulut Will Walk Soon

How any manager puts up with this board I don't know.

Time will tell, hopefully we will get the 6 players he wanted, if not I think even he will have had enough and walk.

Time will tell but again, we have time left of the window (not that it's not concerning what Bulut himself has said)

So how do you know he's putting up with the board ?

Helps that he had dodgy agents.

If he can't handle the circumstances, then leave!

I think he's got more minerals about him though. Also, he'll be worth alot more if sacked or successful than walking away.

Why would a manager worry too much about what is said on this message board or any other message board?

He's showboating

Its the Big Bad board's fault, not mine!

If he does walk or doesn't do well in the business half of the season his excuse is already in, or they have to get their finger out and seal some deals.

The problem with decent managers is they play at a higher level than the dirt trackers we have had recently at its showing, he is playing the fans through the media brilliantly.

I thinl we'll improve the quality of the squad quite a bit over the next two weeks

We are down to less than 2 weeks to go before this widow closes - time will tell ...

Yep; less than 2 weeks for the club to restore a bit of faith for its fans this season, or witness the probable beginning of the end for Bulut.

'Time will tell' about sums things up!

Erol Bulut is going nowhere; and a lot of hints in there, including the new Chief Scout...

Beyond that, I understand the club have promised to back him, so far as they can, with wages more than transfer fees...

Things are moving; but expect more in the summer when the market is more fluid... :ayatollah:

Sven,

I think people need to know why with wages and not transfer fees. Its all to do with FFP. If we paid for one player we would break FFP. That is how close it is. So the only option we have is wages. We might be able to bring in the 6 players and still stay within FFP.

Ian, I think you are spot on...!

I think part of the (Forum) issue is that we, the supporters, don't really know how we actually stand with FFP, so we rely (with baited breath) on the club and more often on the likes of (the financially credible) Keith Morgan...

What we do know from his previous experiences, is that our owner has been stung mainly by agants and once or twice by his manager(s) to the point he lacks trust in paying out large transfer fees and he has actually said that...

In The Championship, it is possible (mainly in the summer months) to bring in good Premier League players at the end of their contracts, whilst paying smaller fees for up and coming players from the lower Leagues...

I think it's very tough at this time of year when players still have contracts and we've seen that when trying to shift players out in January in the past...

We are currently chasing up to six players and if even half of those come off, we will be in a good position to move further forward in tbe summer and when another year off this shoddily-arranged FFP is over... :ayatollah:

You make some very good points in this post.

One of the problems the club has faced in trying to maximise funds available to the manager to bring in new players in the current transfer window is the failure to offload players(and therefore their wage costs) who aren`t important to the first team squad and wouldn`t be a loss if they left, However, the players concerned have to agree to leave and I am aware of at least one who has categorically refused to go

True enough and they are all on good money they are not likely to get elsewhere.

Thank you as always for your input, Keith; and I think that just sums it up...

Not sure who the one players is but it won't be the first time a players has preferred to sit on his derriere at our club (and others) rather than go play football for a living. I guess it's a personal financial calculation but going forward, it rarely succeeds, as once released these players often struggle to find decent new clubs...

Imagine Vonte Campbell must be the favourite for the player who won’t go. Shame that they don’t have any personal pride and just want to sit and take the wage. Bulut has already mentioned it.
But the OP’s comments have shown to be prophetic this evening!
Shame if he does go as today perversely looked more like an effort to put something together. But we gave possession away too much. As said above. If three of six being chased are landed it’s something positive.
