The Problem

Sat Jan 20, 2024 7:03 pm

Let’s face it, Cardiff City football club is in a very bad state right now.

Is it the manager? No, it isn’t.

Fans have to understand this squad isn’t “talented”, it’s not one that an excellent manager could pick up and turn them into a fantastic football team. The sad truth is, they are aren’t good enough. The board built this team with freebies from poor running of the club which put us under an embargo.

We sack managers with no replacements lined up, and just let the assistant have a go.

This is all about the guys upstairs. Fans need to back the manager and players whilst all this negative energy is directed towards the board and owner. The club needs to know the fans can’t be fooled, we know it’s poorly run.

And how refreshing is it that Bulut is calling out the hierarchy? He has the experience to understand this isn’t the way clubs should be run! Our past managers have no real comparison or were afraid to speak up.

Spot on mate

Thanks guys. The fans really need to have this in mind.

If we continue to look at the problem being the manager, the board will continue to recycle and we will get nowhere, or worse in league 1.

Spot on, we can get behind the manager and team whilst protesting the board.

Unfortunately though EB has done the one thing Tan hates and that’s to call him out in the media

You are way too level headed and reasonable for a football forum . Ban him

Personally he should keep such talk from the public and confront the board behind close doors.

He certainly should but I have a feeling he may have already tried that a few times for it to get where it is now.

Sent a reasonable document last season detailing the issues around the club, and the way it needs changing and structures in place.

Sent this to Tan, Dalman and Choo.

No replies, but blocked by Tan :laughing6:

What do you mean 'blocked by Tan'...? :?

Re: The Problem

He is telling the fans whats happening because WoL, Glen Williams and Scott johnson don't ever push the hierarchy.

I think Erol has done enough with F.A. to get himself noticed over here if he does walk

Your time's up Tan. Sell up now and leave.

To say the communication and connection between supporters and club is broken is an understatement. Direction and passion come from above and there's been none for years.

I sent a follow up to all three, and only Tan’s bounced back when the first time was successful.

It think you're both right; Erol Bulut's 'frustrations' are clearly building and we should back him before Tan sacks him...

Unfortunately it’s too detailed to fit here!

Literally covered everything from footballing identify, transfers, academy, fans and building the fan base.

Re: The Problem

IT’S ALL A PROBLEM ATM.
Results
Performances
Team Morale
Manager’s relationship with board.

It’s having a massive knock on effect throughout the Club.
I don’t believe we have the funds to improve the squad as us fans would hope.
There are bigger clubs than us feeling the effects of the rules with FFP etc…
As fans we will always put the club first, managers/players come and go, this is Our Club so keep the faith, we are Cardiff City.

Bang on Nova
And for bulut to speak out is refreshing, just shows there is no proper communication with the owner , and this is the only way he can get his feelings out before he walks out

The problem we’ve got to is our fans will all want tan out now but if we signed a few players or have better results all be forgiven need to get him gone now

Cool, how many millions do you have to put in the coffers, now? Most of us want him gone but some of us know we are stuck with him until someone pays his asking price no matter how ridiculous it is.

We don't actually know anything yet as it's very quiet & the only info we have is what Mr. B has said which could mean what we think or could mean that he's just pissed off with the result today.

Yes and I get that but how much more can fans put up with?
Should start protesting how much more can people take 14 years tan be at the helm and we haven’t gone anywhere laughing stock of football with the rebrand, can’t see him reacting like that if there wasn’t a problem and it’s about time a manager said something against our board their a bunch of clowns
