Protests

Sun Jan 21, 2024 9:05 pm

If the rumour Worcester has posted is true then, as fans, we’re left with one option only. We HAVE to protest otherwise the club is finished with the current non existent business model.

It’s been said for ages and nothing has come of it, yes there were a few gatherings outside the main stand entrance last season but this time round it needs to be a full on regular occurrence before, during and after home matches with banners in the crowd during away matches.

Tan hates being in the media and this is a certain way to stir that particular hornets nest.

Only protest that will have any effect on tan is by refusing to re new season tickets, something i am seriously going to consider until we have a new owner. It will not be a decision taken likely but enough is enough.

Sad to admit I’m thinking the same. Never known someone to have such disdain for his “customers” but then again he just thinks we should be grateful and kiss his feet.

That's the only option left to us. It's going against our culture of supporting the team whatever but when you get pushed away what can you do.

I would imagine Tan would react to such actions very similar to how Sheff Wednesday's owner did
By basically throwing his toys out of the pram and blaming everyone else
Many already are staying away .The atmosphere at homes games is the worst it has ever been, whilst at the stadium

Hopefully, no protests will be necessary if we do sign a few better quality signings by 1st February and Erol cheers up.

If, however, Erol leaves shortly, as expected, along with no signs of any quality players joining the squad, I think a series of major protest may be all the fans can do.
Protests on a similar scale as the rebranding march which achieved its objectives.

One matchday protest will be brushed aside by Tan and the board.
It's up to the fans to keep the pressure on each home game. Maybe even some sort of action during a match like the Reading fans have done which has had nationwide acknowledgement. Tan would hate that!

However, it will need plenty of thought and organisation if it to become successful. eg. Do we demand Tan finds new owners with better ambition to sell to, or are we simply asking him to release the necessary funds to bring in one or two better quality players each transfer window. In other words, we need to agree on the same objective.

Just food for thought!
