BREAKING: 'APPALLING' NEWPOT COUNTY STAFF ABUSE

Mon Jan 22, 2024 2:16 pm

'Appalling abuse and threatening behaviour’ forces League Two Newport to close ticket office ahead of Man United FA Cup clash
By Sam May

Newport County have confirmed they have shut their ticket office ahead of their FA Cup fourth round clash with Manchester United.

The Welsh club have revealed the reasoning for the closure on Monday is due to 'appalling abuse and threatening behaviour'.

Support staff had been allegedly subject to abuse during the priority purchase period on Thursday.

Newport have since stated tickets can be purchased online but from 10am onwards tomorrow.

The club has reiterated it has a zero-tolerance policy which may result in stadium bans or legal action.

The things people do just to see a premier league side. Absolutely appalling, no excuse for threatening behaviour.

Some people need to grow up, honestly. :banghead:

Simple way to solve this.

Anyone who has abused staff should have their phone number blacklisted from the ticket office and they refuse to sell tickets to them for any game.

Unfortunately, many of them will be those "extra fans" that came to our matches against Swansea and Leeds.

Never understood supporting an English premier side when you live in cardiff, Swansea Newport etc. These big prem teams whose fans would call us welsh a bunch of sheep sh**ers without question. (Just like we get everyweek as cardiff fans).
