Is the problem the negotiations?

With Tan saying he s not spending millions, which I can understand. We know that January transfers are hard and teams play hardball over costs.
The Varenga negotiations , where they are quoted as wanting 4.3mill for Illic if city are sticking to their guns teams might be reluctant to part with players. If we are desperate to improve we have to conceded ground , but will city?

Probably we can't spend stupid money while we are safe and unlikely to make the playoffs anyway, if a players over valued we have to walk away and wait till the next window.

I would guess that is what has happened with everybody's great savior KM, Bournemouth want stupid money like the 3 million some on here think he's worth when he's only really worth 1 million and Bournemouth want what they want & we refuse to pay it.

Yes I’ve just seen it on a dodgy site. I’m sure there could be a bit of ‘meeting in the middle’ if all parties were willing.
