We have just missed out on the buluts number 1 baka gone to the greek side begining with P
And its looking like we are not going to match the bigger clubs like hull ffs
moore will be his next target to go to clubs that will pay
we cannot build sucsses on a tight budget how many times on the forum have we heard we need to invest well we could start with upping wages
We have all moaned about frebbies loans in bargain basement etc
But if we will not pay the going rate we will stay probably in the championship for the next 20 years
its as plain as vicent tans troucers

Bulut said in December we were never going to get him. So I don’t think it’s a question of wages at all. Whilst maybe we’d be able to get him with the wages if we pushed the boat out like you say, that still doesn’t mean he was going to sign for a team in the championship. Panathinaikos have European football nearly every year and he’s the Greek national captain.

I think you misunderstand how the Profitability and Sustainability Rules work.
To avoid breaching the rules and facing financial and points deduction penalties, we need to only have losses within the parameters set out by the EFL. Currently these are an average of £13m a season over a rolling three season period. Therefore increasing the wage bill as you suggest would increase those losses.
Most clubs in the Championship struggle to stay within the parameters , the exceptions mainly being those who have more income than us through bigger attendances or bigger sponsorship deals, lower wage bills or who have made big profits from selling on players.

Well we seem to fail most of those things you have highlighted is that down to the fans for turning up or does the blame start at the top?

The sooner we are able to get rid of our deadwood the better. Seeing that table gives you a different perspective on the club's activities (or lack of) during this window. Those teams that are pushing the boat out are taking a mighty gamble that could backfire unless they secure promotion in the next couple of seasons.

Time for some clubs to put in a wage cap - Then put in PRP as an incentive to players

The FFP cap is a nice little excuse for the club owners to use to support the lack of investment in a club.
What interests me is, if there were no FFP, would the club actually invest more? Personally I doubt it.
