They climbed back / We are so so way off:

Tue Jan 23, 2024 3:04 pm

Ipswich Town climb back into the top two and came up from League 1 last season.

Cardiff are so so way off a Top 4 club this season it’s beyond.

Even 5th is way off reach for us and 6th was well in our reach and now the gap
Is widening.

I just dont understand how fans can keep saying they are happy with just staying up
Or mid table.

How have we gone forward in the last 14-15 years???

Plus their is NO future plan from the Accademy to the first team.

Us fans should want to believe and should believe that a club like ours should be going for Top 6 every season.

If we think oh yes let’s just stay up, then we will never go forward as a Club.

We average over 22,000 home crowds , We Deserve at least Top 6 Championship and should be thinking that Premiership is where a club like ours belongs.

Ipswich, Coventry, Watford , Hull , WBA are Def not bigger Clubs than Cardiff City.

Anyone thinking of getting rid of Erol Bulut at this moment in time us Mad, as 100% This City Board womt employ anyone better as they will want even more money and we won’t give it to them.

Please NO more Trollope’s, Slades , Harris, Hudsons or Morison’s.

Where are they All Now?

I am 50-50 on Erol Bulut, But Bulut is way ahead of All then put together.

At least give Bulut a proper Transfer with money and a 2nd year, you can’t keep changing managers.

Agree with you totally there.

Fair play to Ipswich, they've been building for years in League One. They knew they had to get themselves in a position to go up from that league and then compete to go up for the Championship.

My gut feeling is Southampton will beat them to 2nd, but they will be in the play offs.

Fair play to them.

West Brom have massive financial problems. They have gambled big time and need to get promoted this season for financial reasons.

The mid-table finish is relative to last season’s efforts. Anything is an improvement on that.

NO, We need to be ambitious if you want the fans to comeback the last three seasons we’ve been saying exactly this.

We had years of parachute payments and wasted them.

We are not the Rotherham’s or Barnsley’s of this world happy to make up the numbers.

Burnley, Bournemouth, Luton etc are you there All Very Small Clubs.

Re: They climbed back / We are so so way off:

We haven't had any real ambition for years, Bournemouth, Luton, Ipswich all being ran well as clubs which can't be said for city unfortunately

All we can hope is that there is a buyer waiting to take us on, but I won't hold my breath

We need to be Ambitious, every season we say let’s just consolidate.

There are 3 buyers out there.

But Tan wants £200 mill lol

VT and company has taken City backwards by over twenty years…. and unless serious investment is made then this decline will escalate…. I’m not ruling out another relegation battle this season either.
If there’s no interest from our owners, then that’s going to influence the attitude right through the whole club.

Totally agree with you 110%

Rick,

Under Tan and His Circus we have Def gone backwards.

Accademy has been awful, after 14 year We finally got a decent player in Rubin Colwill.

The fans are once again mostly fed up.

Football not improving.

League position has not improved.

The connection between the Club and the Fans.

More Debt.

Court Case after Court Cases, wasting beyond £Mills and the Majority of cases lost.

The amount of Managers Tan has tried to control is beyond.

11-12 Managers etc etc

And I agree 100% that Tan involved in Football is Def that.

We could have Pep or Klopp as manager and they would be sacked or leave as the club is so badly run and has been for years we have people in charge who do not know how to run a football club.

I had hope when it seemed Dalman seemed to take charge get a manager who impressed me at the beginning of the season things looked positive and we finally beat them jacks.

Even when we lost I was not alarmed and then Tan returns and starts his usual crap interviews blaming every manager in the past when truth is he is the blame, every manager we have had under him had no chance we have heard from ex players etc he cannot help sticking his nose in.

I disliked him with the red came but then he wrongly sacked Malky then he has continued to make Cardiff City be in the news for all the wrong reasons.

I prey and dream of a new owner who can finally run this club without the madness of Tan

Re: They climbed back / We are so so way off:

We so far apart as a club From owner to board to chairman to manager to players to fans there is no info structure as a life long fan I don’t feel part of the club no more there is no more of that togetherness .When SAM had the club it wasn’t just his club it was our club the way that man got everyone singing off the same himsheet was incredible best days of my life they were one big family no lies no bullshit so much different now

Re: They climbed back / We are so so way off:

How are we going to get more through the academy when Darren Purse is there? Results show that it crap and managers have been sacked for Results like his.
My take is, we can afford to sack him as we're stuck due to ffp and that's the reason for lack of transfers.

Agreed Annis, I think with a bit of backing he can use his knowledge of Turkey and Greece and keep us more competitive than any other Manager we are capable of getting here.

Even Nathan Jones would be a downgrade IMO.

Everything Forever Blue has said is spot on.

This club has dived into mediocrity and we should be far more ambitious but it has been mismanaged for 15 years by non-football people. The passion and excitement for match days has disappeared while the life has been sacked out of the club.

I often wonder whether Tan is in his own reality bubble. Has he ever looked at other clubs such as Ipswich and wondered how they have turned things around for the better, whilst we just fight relegation battles every season.

Re: They climbed back / We are so so way off:

So much easier to build a solid foundation in league 1 - Brentford, Bournemouth, for example. Ironically our 2 promotions to the PL hindered any long term planning..

Keiffer moore be on the way there shortly

Re: They climbed back / We are so so way off:

Tue Jan 23, 2024 7:44 pm

Behave. We’ve just come out of a transfer embargo period and you expected us to challenge for the play offs? Have you forgotten last season? Strongest championship for a long time. Mid table is the best we could have expected. The worry is Bulut is not good enough to push on.

Re: They climbed back / We are so so way off:

Tue Jan 23, 2024 9:28 pm

No-one is denying that midtable is probably an achievement this season given our period of transfer embargos.

However, you can argue convincingly that the financial and other decision making that's gone on for the past 10 - 15 years has had a significant contribution to City being the subject of these embargos.

This is what Forever Blue is alluding to ref: long term general mismanagement / poor decision making at the club leading to where we find ourselves today.

Could things be worse? Of course they can but all is not as healthy as it could've been with a clearer long term plan and sound decision making infrastructure at the club.
