How are Hull steering clear of FFP?

Tue Jan 23, 2024 5:28 pm

They’ve been back in the championship for a while now.
Bought Philogene for £6 million, now going to bring Giles in on loan with an obligation for £4 million.

Not sure about the other players they have brought in..
But, surely they’re breaking rules their somewhere if we haven’t got a pot to piss in!

Was wondering this as well, know they sold Keane Lewis Potter for a decent sum but think that was 2yrs ago. Believe they also paid a decent fee for Connolly from Brighton.

Lewis Potter fee was nearly £20 million I believe which is about £19,500,000 more than we’ve managed to bring in

That’s probably got something to do with it!!

I’m aware of that, but they’ve brought in several players for several million pounds.
How they got £20 million for Lewis-Potter is crazy. Decent player, but not £20 million. Pulled Brentford’s pants down!!

Could bite them on the arse if not promoted in 2 or 3 years I’d guess.

Last season Hull brought in a few players from Turkey based clubs - spent around £10 - £12 M .

Don't forget they also sold Robertson and Bowen too. Also had sell on payments for the likes of maguire aswell. I've said it in a previous post that they have done the best business within the championship this season by a country mile and they are still proving it.
