Don't get the goalkeeper thing...

We have Alnwick, he is number one and doing a great job. Why get another expensive keeper like Runnarson or others like this USA guy we're linked with. Just put the under 23 keeper on the bench.

If Alnwick gets injured for a period just pick up a free agent to cover or we'll find out the likes of Turner is good enough.

We save the cash and the youngster gains experience....

Youngsters appearing for the City are very rarely good enough in the long term. Included here are Rubin Colwill, Isaac Davies, Tanner, Zimba, Wildig, etc etc. They may play well for a limited number of matches, but that is all.

Exceptions are Toshack, Peter King, Andy Dibble, Ramsey, Ledley, Jerome - though not many more. In general, young players do not play well for our side.

I don't think Bullet really rates Alwick

We need another keeper. Alnwick for me ain't brilliant. He's ok. And runnarson is a waste of wages.

Maybe right about needing other positions 1st but we got new keeper coach so guess he is saying need a decent keeper and all he will be doing is replacing runnason wages with permanent signing which we do need especially as good as one we are getting .... musnt forget we dont have a choice as to when any loans come in this window

Alnwick came here as a number 2. compared to what he was earning in scottish football he is well paid but not on mega bucks.I think he makes an excellent back up keeper but not a number 1.For a club that has been historically blessed with some great keepers we have now a great need for good sweeper/keeper.

It's obvious we can't rely on Runarsson.

Alnwick has been very good this season but his levels have dropped recently.

Hovarth is an international goalkeeper who got promoted last season. He was one of the highest rated goalkeepers in the league and kept a lot of clean sheets.

He's a proven shot stopper at this level and is a good age to be our number one for many years.

Looks like very good business to me.

Keepers and Strikers are important positions, they both save the most points for a club in a season, if you can get a good one at any time reasonably priced get one!

Historically, we've always had at least two great kerpers; and I go back to (not the real) Bob Wilson and Fred Davies; Ron Healey and Bill Irwin; Neil Alexander and Martyn Margetson; Tom Heaton and David Marshal; and others...

Ethan Horvath would be a very good signing. The first thing to do to stop losing points is to stop conceding and although we also need to strengthen elsewhere, here is a good start.
