Best I’ve found in South Wales is Bauhaus in Bridgend and Fulgoni’s in Porthcawl.
Can’t think of any in Cardiff now tho’ not sure about Roath side. Tuck-In not as good as it used to be.. and Maria’s gone..

Port Talbot lad here, best I've had in Cardiff is "Fairwater Cafe" used to go there for a hangover brekkie, and it was fantastic
Neath has the Orchard.

I'd add Ramons in Cardiff to that list

Cafe 4 brackla is decent and dragon cafe in town centre Bridgend is good

Coffi Fach kitchen in Aberkenfig is definitely a must try. Plenty of specials and absolutely huge stack of pancakes

Tuck in Barry rd, Barry is excellent.
Daughter got us a gift voucher for the Ivy, 2 breakfasts £60, was it good? Yes. Was it sixty quid good naw.

I can vouch for the Seashore Grill in Sully if your near, worth a visit anyway as their regular menu is also very good and the big bonus is that you also eat with a beautiful view of Sully Island and the channel.
