mine didnt show on the basic check, not sure if it just applicable to the reason why you want a check not sure.

spent convictions should not affect the decision to give you the job.
we (O.H.T) take into account dates and how long convictions have been spent.

they supposed too . i,m a welfare officer for my local junior footie side and responsible for CRB checks for all managers and coaches involved in the club and have gone through about 20 CRB forms in the last few months and as of yet not 1 as come back with any convictions !

There are a few different levels of CRB checks.

The lowest level is called a basic disclosure. This WILL NOT show up any 'spent' convictions.

Any other type of CRB check shows ALL convictions up.

Basic disclosures can be obtained from http://www.disclosurescotland.co.uk/

I had to do one before Xmas for a new client of mine. Thankfully they only wanted a basic disclosure (only certain types of jobs can mandate a full disclosure e.g. working with kids), so all of my spent convictions did not show.

Just sent mine off to be sorted for Cricket. When sorted, get my level 1 badge done then go higher. Comes at a price for the badges but the club play for it so not too bad.
