Just got back from a weekend in Germany with a few mates. As we didnt have a game this weekend, we went to watch Leverkusen v Munchengladbach on Saturday night. Tickets were expensive but what an unbelevable atmosphere. Leverkusen are top of the Bundesliga and are playing some great football under Xabi Alonso. Dominated the game but couldnt find the net. Then last night we popped over to Dortmund to watch them against Bochum. 80000 thousand fans packed into the Signal Indua Stadion. Unbelievable atmoshphere here. Really enjoyed the weekend. Anyone done this kind of weekend and, where?

It was about ten years ago, but went to Dortmund v Düsseldorf.
Atmosphere was incredible. Been to Champions League nights in England/Spain/Italy and international tournaments but nothing compared to that.
Tickets were cheap back then but now they have to try and compete with the Premier League.

Wez we paid £80 ea for the 2 games. We tried through Club shop but were sold out. So, bought them through Stubhub. To be fair, didnt have any problems buying online even though we paid way over the odds. Really didnt mind as the atmosphere at both games was incredible.

Glad you enjoyed it
Last time I went, I saw Borusia Moenchengladbach v Red Bull Liepzig. 50 odd thousand there.
On 9th to 11th feb, a few of us off again.
Staying in dusseldorf, flying from Cardiff via Amsterdam
Bundesliga 2 games.
On the Saturday,
Dusseldorf v elvesberg 60,000. Tickets 12 quid.
On the Sunday, a big needle game. Had to get tickets off scalper, 45 quid. As you had to have a local postcode...
Trouble expected. 2 hours on train from dusseldorf.
VFL Osnabruck v Hansa Rostok only 16,000 there, full house.
It's brilliant, pubs and bars are great and the football bars and stadium experience are top drawer.

Worked over there late 90s.. used to go to see Dusseldorf, Cologne, or MGB. All have new grounds now, but they’re all great places to visit regardless. Those days you could fly directly to Dusseldorf.
