Bulut to get rid of a few more players:

Wed Jan 31, 2024 9:28 am

Bukut has brought in Nathaniel Phillips and City are paying 50% of his wages, believed to be around £35,000 a week.

But already Bulut has reduced the wage bill significantly by sending players back and out on loan.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=144783

Bulut has been told a couple more need to go out to bring more players in.

So over all Bulut will have spent nothing, he is working on a virtually Zero budget.

For me Erol Bulut can’t really be judged this season , so he should be offered a new contract as we won’t get better on a peanut budget.

Speculation this morning that Illic has signed for that French ligue 1 team for 4m.

We can’t defend, we can’t create, we can’t score. He has to take some blame for that.

He needs to get rid of a lot more than a few.

Those players that have been told to find another club but refuse to go are going to be despised by the fans. We are stuck with them for another season I believe and this is going to make Buluts job a lot harder.

I honestly don’t believe we offered the money for Illic , I don’t believe we are spending.

I have heard Bulut has agreed to stay on next season as long as this Summer he gets properly Backed.

As to Moore Bulut not just wants him for this season he wants to build a team around him for next season.

That guy is seriously delusional if he thinks Phillips is anywhere near Konate or Matip. He failed miserably in Scotland ffs, a league that's constantly slagged off for being poor quality on this forum.

Obviously I'll get behind him and give him a chance here, but does it not seem wild to anyone else that we're paying over 30k a week for a CB when there are so many other key positions in the team we are clearly lacking in?

Looks like we did have the money for Bakasetas' wages after all...

If we're paying 50% of his wages we're paying ~33k. He's on ~66k at Liverpool.

I’ve seen a lot of figures online. 66k is the highest. This is the lowest.

That’s not what my Liverpool friends tell me, if he made plenty of appearances etc for Liverpool yes it rose to much higher but his basic was £35,000 a week.

He was Def not Neil.

If he had been good enough and played regularly yes, but he could not even get in the first team squad in the end and failed at Celtic.

He was on approx £35,000 a week basic.

Yeah if he was on 66k a week the world has gone mad.

It's gone mad paying any footballer £35k a week. Disgusting.

Agree that players need to go out - so we can get players in ... Looking forward to the remaining hours ...

I tend to agree but when there is so much money in the game then it’s supply and demand.

But if they were paying 66k for a reserve player miles away from their first team then that would have been truly bonkers.
