Why do people think that everything he hears ( wow cool journo) is gospel. More folk have said we were on for the Serb than not.

It could be the club have given him this info and PA was told by ccfc that they were never in for him. Sounds better than we were beaten to him.

I prefer the notion we were beaten to him as this shows we are trying and not like other posts that say we were never in for him and aren't prepared to spend.

I would say Paul's sources are better than most but its always guesswork. Personally, I was surprised by the link with Ilic. Hes young and completely untested in a higher league. We've been here before with Corneilus and Watters. It would have been a punt. Perhaps the club are learning lessons.

True, I’d say the lesson is you have a proven player in place already and you can still sign a player like this in case it pays of big time.
