I am not a fan of the hierarchy of the club, however I think credit is due to them (whether it be Dalman, Choo, Tan or all 3) for the signings we have made
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=237688Yes I think there were some mistakes eg not getting deals done early or not having the foresight to spend a little bit more - within FFP - for a push for top 6 (especially with some of the names being linked)
But on reflection if those names hadn't been linked in the first place we would have been more than happy with our recruitment
Horvath - better option the Runarsson and potentially Alnwick lately
Phillips - upgrade on Panzo (on paper)
Diedhiou - again, looking at previous championship stats hes an upgrade on Ugbo
Turbuall - Upgrade on a few players in the middle - Rinomhota, Adams, Sawyers etc
Wilson-Esbrand - I dont know much about him but comes highly rated and will be good to take over from JC
All incomings on paper seem to have made us stronger so for that we should be positive

Well said. Totally agree.

Certainly “on paper” we look slightly stronger at the beginning of February than we did beginning of January
A fit Rambo is a big plus and with ODowda back in light training that’s also significant
Clearing some deadwood from the wages bill is also a help
The next few months are hugely important though…Bulut needs his contract sorted, we need to organise pre season months in advance and a clear summer transfer policy and plan is absolutely critical. We should be identifying targets today ready to strike early in the window
Over to you Tan, Dalman and Choo

Yes well done to the manager and the board. All these players appear to be upgrades on what we have in line with the managers brief. It's obvious that FFP rules are beginning to bite up and down the country so it was not just us.I think we'll finish comfortably safe this season which is a major improvement on last season and it will be mission accomplished as far as the manager and the board.

With so many sub-championship players leaving and all those coming in looking at least championship grade the average of the squad has gone up.
Glad we didn't get another midfield dog in, Joel Colwill needs minutes and i think he'll get them.
Pleased, I think we'll finish up the season around 8th~12th

From the comments Bulut's made recently, future planning for the club seems to be his number one priority. So hopefully if he does get his contract extended, we will see an improvement in that area.

Most players would be better than we had.as we have .Congratulations to the manager on a very tight budget

Why well done the club?
The reason we find ourselves in a mess is all down to the Morison era that was supported by the club. All they have done of late is try to correct what was a big mistake created by themselves.

Not as simple as that maybe the 25 million spent on sala might of had something to do with it ay ? .Most clubs are near ffp limit, add covid into that also

We should only offer our Managers a one year rolling contract, we have made mistakes by offering previous managers longer contracts and then having to pay them for years.Surely Tan has learnt it’s a mistake to give long contracts as there are plenty of out of work Managers out there if Bulut decides to quit!

Agree with you , some of the same people calling for a bulut contract moan that we've had to pay managers off .

What to me does a "rolling contract" mean? In reality

Different way of saying a one year contract really, but they automatically renew every year.
I disagree with Wez, we shouldn’t be offering a rolling contract.
The reason being is the only managers who will take those are the bottom of the barrel managers. Any half decent manager will want a club to commit to them, and rightly so.
I think we should be offering him 2-3 years. Obviously it’s a risk if it doesn’t work out but you’ve got to take those sorts of risks if you want to be successful.

I agree with this.
Plus, it shouldn’t be a such a risk if we give managers a chance and don’t sack them.
Bulut needs time to piece a squad together, not just the 11 but bench and structure throughout.

Me too (agree)...!
The sum involved if Erol Bulut was a complete flop (which I believe he won't be) is a drop in the ocean toother monies wasted on novice managers and players...

Was worried going into the final few days with - No new faces coming in and players going out the past 3 weeks.
Let's see what happens from now to the end of the season - At least the manager got his 5 players in
