Cardiff City Chairman Mehmet Dalman Says:

MY VIEW:
I don’t trust one word Dalman says.
A real politician.

Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman says he has no concerns over Erol Bulut's contract situation with the club.

Following a 3-1 defeat by Plymouth Argyle in January, boss Bulut stated he would need to consider his future with the Bluebirds.

Dalman: “There is no concern at the moment with Erol.”

MEHMET DALMAN:

"Erol is relaxed about it, as are we.”

"Our dialogue continues, “there's no concern at the moment with Erol”, I trust him and I know he'll give us his best efforts."

Dalman added: "I talk to Erol almost daily, he's fine. He just gets a bit frustrated, as we all do."

The Bluebirds have won just once in six games in all competitions prior to their trip to Watford.

Dalman stated he was pleased with the club's dealings in the winter January market.

Mehmet Dalman:

"It was left late and until the very end," he said.

"We had our targets and those targets evolved over the period of 30 days, we're very happy with the players we managed to get in.”

"I accept the fact that it was all left last minute, but that's the nature of the transfer window."

Cardiff had hoped to strike a late deal with Bournemouth for Kieffer Moore only for the Wales striker to join Ipswich Town on loan.

Discussing Cardiff's efforts to sign Moore, Dalman said: "I think his club wanted him to go elsewhere and I think he had the final say.”

"We were given guidelines on what our bids should be, we put our bids in and remained hopeful right until the last minute.

"Both the club and player decided, and we need to respect that decision, life goes on."

Erol Bulut:

“This is the first year for me here in English football. It’s a limited budget to make five or six players. It’s not easy. So no one can say why we didn’t take certain players.”

“If I showed you my list of strikers… but in the last few days if you hear you’ve only got a budget of £10 you can’t do it. That only happened in the last three days! “

“So we have to look at other options, the best for Cardiff City to bring good players in.”

So if Dalman is in more or less daily contact with Bulit Why was it such a surprise for Bulut to realise how little money he had to spend?

Re: Cardiff City Chairman Mehmet Dalman Says:

Our targets changed drastically over the last 3/4 days of the window…the budget definitely appears to have been reduced

Why it was reduced is still a bit of a mystery and Dalman didn’t really say why

Re: Cardiff City Chairman Mehmet Dalman Says:

2 weeks ago Bulut stated he had not heard anything from the board, yet Dalaman says he speaks to him almost daily.

I know who I believe

At the start of the window it was said we needed to get in money owed to us. Was this reference to the insurance settlement? Perhaps the initial budget was due to incorporate said money, but as time when on this money never materialised and therefore affecting the budget? Just a thought....

YET TAN & DALMAN ARE STILL YOUR HERO’S SO SAD.

At least I say it as it is and don’t worship a Dictator and an Aka MP.

I love my club not them, unlike you .

Gutting that you love them two.

Good point on the money due to come in.

Does anyone on here know whether materialised or whether we’re still waiting?

Basically we would not match ipswich end of
you can have the players you want but on a low budget you cannot simples
and for any player not just moore who has a short career you go where money and best prospects are for there career and family they are not in it for fun or a charity.

His comments suggest Bulut didn't get any of his main targets. Wonder how far down each list we got for the positions we strengthened.

Who knows miracles do happen.

Well moore was Sunderlands no 1 target what happened there? Not sure why people blame anyone for player not coming in January window as it is always either player or the players club that dictate where player goes nothing city or any club can do to alter that fact! As for dalman take what he says with big pinch salt same as when anyone posts on here with information tbh so much contradictory statements hard to tell truth from fiction Even bulut has contradicted himself.. anyway no doubt will have exactly same in summer window.
