Good start to the second part of the season today.

Watford never an easy place to go but we came away with a good three points.

What a goal it was by Josh Bowler to win it.

Not going to lie and say it was the most thrilling game I’ve ever seen.

But we restricted them to few genuine chances until they threw everything at it towards the end.


Onwards and upwards now to Preston at home next week, I’ll be there

Quite sure we’ll see some of the signings start that game and Ramsey will get some minutes

Yep and we were certainly under the kosh for the last 15 minutes. I honestly expected them to equalise and maybe get a late winner.

As for Alnwick. He had a superb game AGAIN!

I am really, really happy with this win

I thought we were excellent in the first half and for the first 15 mins of the second half. After Watford changed their formation it was like the Alamo. Alnwick MOM. By a mile. Etete and Ruben were excellent too.

Great 3 points and some outstanding defensive performances

However, we are still woefully short of attacking options, we just don’t create enough goalscoring opportunities

3 at the back..wing backs and 2 strikers might be the answer??

After the dire matches we’ve seen over the majority of the last 6-7 games, I have to say I enjoyed watching us today. More effort and cohesion than we’ve seen for a while. Looking forward to see what the new guys bring to the games.

Agreed re our attacking prowess. But I think that’s obviously why some of the signings were made. With them and Rambo having time to work with the squad hopefully that will start to improve now. We need to move the ball with more purpose and pace

Agree its when we slow the game down and move it sideways and backwards we look dormant. But if we can get into the slick quick passing momentum we do look dangerous on times.
Thats what I enjoy about Ruben as on Saturday he was taking a lot of balls on the half turn so that he was already spinning and looking to move forward before the ball was at him.
